This is actually a personal choice, it's from the remake of I Spit On Your Grave and I like it because you've seen the poor girl getting broken down by these vicious bastards and here you can see there's no feeling left in her, she's changed as a person and she's going to give out the proper justice.

I... really don't see what's great about those two shots, but maybe it's a matter of taste.

Anyway, my pick is from Spirited Away. This is from the scene when Chihiro is taking the train with the faceless people. Just as it's pulling away from the station, she looks out through the window and sees a young girl standing on the platform:

It makes me tear up, and I have absolutely no idea why.

Excellent choice. Spirited Away is a poignant counterexample to arguments which extol the depth of certain recent American animated entries.

But there were too few of those! In trying to be all philosophical it missed valuable bang-bang time! I seriously want someone to make a full CGI film which just shows off all sorts of awesome gory fights and destruction from start to finish with no plot.

Watch Drive Angry, sure it had a plot, but I will be damned if it didn't stay out of the way of the shooty car chasey awesome.
