Jade Empire always appeared to me as the red-headed stepchild of Bioware. I hope it is as good as KOTOR and Mass Effect, now that people here seem to be really recommending it.

Titan Quest and Heroes of Might and Magic 3 are unappriciated gems of pure awesomeness. HOMM 4 and 5 is also really good.

Dawn of War series (the first 2 is not very good, i wouldnt reccomend getting them.

Warhammer: Mark of Chaos. Pretty good RTS.

You can get Civilization II and The Neverhood for dirt cheap since they are 90s titles. Plus Starcraft is a good option.

Quake 2 or possib;y Quake 4. They're fun, classic, low spec and cheap. Also, Quake 2 was designed to be played without a mouse.

my advice, even if you don't change the games you're looking for, is to invest in a usb mouse.

Didn't they ditch the KOTOR leveling system in favor of the Jade Empire structure? And it is worth the price(I paid $10 for a used copy). The one thing I will say is that there's a lot less customization than in Kotor.

I have a usb mouse, but I dont use it because:

a) Its very inconvenient when non-gaming
b) I usually never have enough space, or my laptop is not on a flat surface. Im either sitting on my bed, couch, or when im at school.

Im bored, and I want some PC games to kill some time. I only have a laptop, so online gaming is out of the question (try playing CS with the touchpad). Also keep in mind that it is nothing more than a "good" laptop, so nothing high-end on spec requirements.

Im pretty much primarily a console gamer, so throw me some suggestions!
Baldur's Gate series
Homeworld Series
KOTOR
NWN
Anything based off the Quake 3/UT2k4 Engine

Really, there's still a huge amount of single player games out there.

Stalker: Shadows of Chernobyl anyone?
Race 07
Sins of a Solar Empire
Star Trek: Bridge Commander
Mount & Blade
Super Nintendo/N64 Emulators

Freespace series (map everything to the 360 pad using a 3rd party app)

Hehu

Also, buy a wired 360 pad for it. You'll thank me later. :D

Anything made by Bioware, Sid Meier, Blizzard, or Westwood, basically. Or Nintendo, though I cannot publicly share my love of SNES emulators.

Also Valve, if you can run theirs.

Red allert 3. Its fun with a buddy, the computer can defend while you tank X attack. ITs not a world shattering game but, you will get a few lols. Cryo-legionnaire says: Like a cool breeze, LETS KICK SOME ICE!

Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Fallout, Deus Ex, Civilization, System Shock...
Throw in Arcanum and you're good to go for a couple of months.
