It would be unfair to smear all hip hop and rap with the same brush of distaste, but a lot of the popular stuff annoys me.

But there are little gems like this in the margin:

I do try my best to listen to a bit of everything even if I don;t like it that much but J-Pop has never quite clicked with me.

I'd say the production most definetly, the guitars and backup strings are absolute perfection, combined with Kid cudis chorus works really well.....like my soul is just melting away

Strange. I didn't really pay much attention to the strings, didn't even notice them, but I did like the guitar part. It just wasn't that special for me. Oh well, I will keep listening ~

also I've listed to it a million times and I still dont really know what the song is about (mabye black people or somthing XD), its all abstract and inoffensive enough that it doesn't distract from the music (I have a certain tolerance for the usual "rap stuff" but it can bring down a song at times),

I love Kid Cudi too. I first heard his vocals on Symphonies and fell in love. I prefer 'All of the Lights' though, shows off his voice more .
