Serious, it's ridiculous that they didn't made a sequel.
Shooting, mechs, it just needed some fine-tuning and bug fixing (like Oni and everything else in it's day)

It's in Beta. You can pay for it, and play it, it's essentially in the final stages. So it's still a game. If it where in Alpha, I'd agree with you. As for official release, it's in a few weeks. So not long.Zarkov said:Well one, it hasn't been released officially yet, and two, the game has many flaws. Now, I won't argue with the fact that it is an completely awesome game, but as it stands Minecraft has a lot of flaws. For one, there isn't an in-game tutorial. In-game tutorials make or break a game on the "flaws" spectrum because of how essential it is. Beyond that because of the updates it has many bugs and a lot of the items in the game either don't make sense or have yet to be assigned a use.Robert Ewing said:I'm gonna both annoy and elate thousands of escapists by saying Minecraft. It has very little flaws compared to other games, and as it's stand alone, and constantly improving upon itself, I guess it has infinite possibility thus far.
The graphics are perfect for the style, has an awesome fan base, pro mods, infinite replay value, infinite awe value.
When you boil it down, it trumps any other game this generation.
Also, because of the complete directionless and openness format of the game, you really have to have an acquired taste for its gameplay. A lot of people don't know the point until they've wondered around the wiki for an hour or so.
Still, Minecraft is awesome and if it would be finally released already I would put it on here.
Deus Ex HR is the third game in the series. You missed out the lacklustre Invisible war.Quazimofo said:would say deus ex, but that's the second game in the series (and one hell of a prequel to the original. cant wait to see where they go but i digress)
the issue is this generation everything has had sequels unless it was shittyUbermetalhed said:Deus Ex HR is the third game in the series. It's amazing how many people have put games that are sequels or have sequels in this thread and I am assuming we are talking about the generation as in Xbox360, PS3 and Wii? Seeing alot of PS2 titles in here.
OT: Heavy Rain, Bayonetta and Vanquish have already been said but those are the only notable ones that come to mind.

Game. Of. The. DECADE.
I realize it's not on console but I don't own a console anymore so I can't say what's best from this generation
missing the point will never be the sameThumper17 said:Well we cant make this decision until the end of this generation. Some big hitters coming out later this year like Skyrim.
So far, Oblivion or Fallout: New Vegas are fantastic games.
Heavy Rain deserves mention, a very cool experience.
Civ V was good.
Starcraft II was apparently good.
Minecraft as well, amazing game.
yeah, i know, i was making a little joke there since pretty much everyone kinda severely dislikes the invisible war.Ubermetalhed said:Deus Ex HR is the third game in the series. See, the problem is that a guy who made a flash game for something like "freegame.com" he doesn't make a copyright because he made that game for free a couple years before smartphones were the norm. He can't sue. He just gets to watch some company make millions off of his idea because he wasn't in some indie company that could afford to put a game on smartphones.babinro said:I've heard that as well, but to my understanding Angry Birds is still a stand-alone product. Even if it is a facelift from a prior title I've not played.AzrealMaximillion said:There was a flash game that came out years before Angry Birds that was the EXACT same thing called Crush the Castle. But then again this kind of thing happens to flash game all the time.babinro said:Angry Birds - It's genuinely fun in a casual way and almost universally loved by most age groups.
Also, if it is as identical as people claim, have the makers of Crush the Castle sued Angry Birds yet? I mean there would be a ton of money to make there.
