The "first" ending really gutted me. But then the real ending? Holy shit. Perfect in theme and execution. Maybe it was just me, but the whole idea of the futility of revenge and then making the actual revenge of a character you grew close to over the narrative feel empty? Holy Shit was that awesome

Jak 3 where it looks like Jak leaves forever but then just randomly shows up right behind Daxter like Daxter did to Jak in the beginning of the game.

I personally think that Halo Reach had a pretty good ending, it reminded you that the game was called Halo REACH for a reason. But the best part? Despite the depressing tone of the ending, your actions actually saved all of Humanity...and all organic life in the galaxy.

OT : Ending of Fire Emblem. Fuck I really hated Nurgal, all the bosses that turned up in that level, and the freaking dragon.... plus all those pesky mages.

But I beat that Damn game in the end with nobody dying at all, even if it did take 7 years to do.
