True with the Elder Gods, but some of the Great Old One's are truly Villainous and one can hardly fault someone for confusion between the Elder Gods and the Great Old Ones (hence my assumption that Sonicron was referencing Cthulhu.)

Some say the Elder Gods fought to try and contain the Great Old Ones and it was the source of their ultimate demise, would that not make them heroes then? For the Great Old Ones are a far more terrible force than the Elder Gods could ever be.

Even then however it's not evil, as the Great Old Ones care even less about humanity than the Elder Gods. We are not even worth notice for them, and yet their merest presence would be enough to eradicate mankind as we know it.

Simplistic I know, and doesn't delve deeply into the legends, but its not hard to see how the antagonists of the Cthuluhu mythos could be considered Villains.

Psh, you're talking about the blasphemous theories written by August Derleth. I do not believe those, there was never any relation between the Elder Gods and the Great Old Ones.

I choose to believe what Abdul Alhazred wrote and that the Great Old Ones are far vaster and greater than anything we could ever conceive. The Elder Gods, they tried and failed, just as someday it is inevitable that humanity shall try to pry into the thoughts and powers of those much greater than ourselves and perish in so doing.

I liked Kefka as a villain too! However, I must say that Kratos > All.

He's a villain straight up, no redeeming heroic qualities and the game doesn't try to hide that. The game is about hate, murder, hate, murderous hate, hate, personal vengeance, hate. Well anyway, that's just my opinion.

I would say Dr. Horrible, but by the end of the story I got the feeling that he wasn't really a villain, he just thought he was and by the time he realized it, it was too late.

Everything he wanted was everything he lost.
