Most of the actors from Mass Effect.
Seconded!

Also, the Baldur's Gate series...but that's because I'm very biased towards them.

Quake 4. Or maybe Gears. Who can truly say they don't grin a little every time they hear Marcus's ultra-deep voice?
*Raises hand*
I don't.

I was playing Max Payne 2 the other day, and I've gotta say I love those actors who do Max and Mona. They're both pretty great, and I love the film noir style of that game :)

Mass Effect, 'Joker' done by the wonderfully sarcastic Seth Green.
Such a legend. He plays his character out so well it makes up for any flaws the other characters may have.

Nolan North, pretty sure he does the new Prince and Nathan Drake...
And for game casts I'd jump on the bandwagon and say MGS and Battlefield: Bad Company...

The chitter-chatter from the Combine!

Seriously, though, Barney from Half-Life.

The Half-life series has some good voice actors (apparently the guy who does Barney also voices the G-man). Bioshock had some pretty good voices too, especially Andrew Ryan.
The Thief series had great voice acting as well, particularly Garrett, Karras, and the Hag. Although you'll occasionally hear a guard or citizen who sounds like they phoned it in.

Although a lot of the dialogue was admittedly over the top, I felt the voices fit the characters very well in Ace Combat 5 and helped me empathize with them. Never thought I'd be so sad to see an annoying character get shot down.

Take your pick:

Jennifer Hale in anything she's done. I could listen to her all day
Stephen Russell as the sardonic, master thief Garrett in the Thief series.
Michael Ironside at his gravelly-voiced best as Sam Fisher in the Splinter Cell series
John DiMaggio as the moody and grizzled Marcus Fenix in Gears 1 & 2
Steve Downes as the enigmatic Master Chief in the Halo series
David Hayter who made Solid Snake the icon he is in the MGS series

Gears of war only has 'good' voice acting in the "So good it's bad" category. I do like it for being the voice of Bender as well as Marcus.

While I truly save my 'best voiceacting' for whenever Alec Baldwin steps into a game, for now I'd go for Tim Dadabbo in the Halo series. Best. Voice. Ever.

Also, the voices in L4D were pretty cool, especially if you look into how they're chosen to be played.

When I do the voices in Final Fantasy VII or Wild ARMs or any RPG that has no voice acting.

Buuuuuuuut I do love voice acting in games and....to be honest BioShock really sold it to me good, it was both theatrical and masterful. Every line in that game was just delicious.

Must be the GTA series, mostly San Andreas. Can you name a game with better and more popular voice actors than SA?
Every cutscene with O.G. loc was a gem... 'I din't care what you've heard, I ain't nobody's ass technician!'
The only ones I can really think of from that game are Peter Fonda, Samuel L. Jackson, Ice Cube and Axel Rose. Who else was there?
What? Axl Rose? which scenes was he in????

Capt. Picard in oblivion. What a legend!

No no! Your dad in fallout 3 by Liam Neeson!
Hahaha! Ya gotta love the main quest in Fallout 3: "The search for Liam Neeson". (Or the search for Micheal Collins if your Irish!)
I'm irish and my mum knew Liam Neeson way back before he was in every movie ever made and I used Fallout 3 as leverage to convince her that games aren't all bad.. lol
Nice one!

He is like the Irish Samuel L. Jackson. He's in everything. Although Brendan Gleeson seems to be in everything aswell!
Haha so so true... myself and the missus were trying to work out if Liam Neeson, Samuel L Jackson and Morgan Freeman were ever in a movie together but we're definately positive that between the three of them they are in every movie ever made, ever.

Oh and Brendan Gleeson is a legend!

EDIT: Awww...this is why I should look at the post directly above me...

As for best VA? I gotta go with Grandia 2, due to the sheer hilarity that ensues when Ryudo speaks.

The voices of: the Prince and Elika in the new PoP were good, Atlas and Andrew Ryan from Bioshock, Gordan and everyone else from Half Life 2 onwards.
