Best Weapon in a Video Game

In terms of effectiveness, I'd have to say the level 3 Blade from Cave Story( anyone who hasn't played this game should immediately search it,download it, apply the translation patch, finish the game, and die a happy man while the memory is still fresh), while in terms of badass-ness, the Needler from Halo is pretty sweet.

It may not be the most powerful but I think it is on of the coolest, the Perforator (legendary gun) from Fable 2. It's a multi-barreled rifle that looks pretty cool.

The Shishkebab.
It's a flaming lawnmower blade sword that you make in Fallout 3.
The MIRV comes in a close second for me, mostly because I'm a melee weapon fool. Otherwise, nothing would touch it (Oh, and I can't forget the stupidity of the VATS system in that game. All you need is one piece of rebar in the nukes' way and your entire attack just got a big fat F for FAILURE.)

That would be insanely impractical.

Ah, but it doesn't actually shoot bullets. It releases a vibration along the length of the blade, causing "tear" damage instead of just "slash" damage, thus essentially turning the sword into a saw that you don't have to saw with to do damage. It's actually a pretty cool weapon, physics-wise. Square seems to actually have thought this one out (as opposed to, well, actually I can't think of a weapon that they didn't think out. I was going to say Masamune, but that might actually work, if you had specialized training...extremely specialized training, but nonetheless...).

I forgot the fully upgraded Dual Lacerators in Rachet & Clank: Size Matters. Dual barreled, dual wielded pistols. Eat shells fools.

Oh, and the Rickroll mod in Doom. And the Hammer of Dawn in Gears. And the MAC in Halo 2. Too bad you never actually get to control that last one...
