It's like at first mention of DA2, people forget everything Bioware has done before and goes retard-rage crazy. Besides, it was worth at least an 8/10.Clive Howlitzer said:I like Bioware still! Everyone has such a short term memory nowadays.MercurySteam said:Motherf-, can't people stop putting down Bioware for one goddamn day? Jesus, it's become fucking routine since Dragon Age 2. Yes, I'm sorry you don't like DA2 now shut up and move on.Metalhandkerchief said:And to everyone else: Bethesda Softworks (the developer) typically spends 5-6 years on each game. We should be DAMNED GRATEFUL for that, not like those BioWare and Treyarch gits who spew out a 20 hour campaign every year.
Actually, Bethesda Softworks is the publishing part of Bethesda. Bethesda Game Studios is the one working on Skyrim. All these names can get confusingMetalhandkerchief said:However, Bethesda owns Splash Damage and id.MercurySteam said:You do realize that out of all those games that only one of them is actually being developed by Bethesda? Just wanted to point that out.
Skyrim - published by Bethesda Softworks and developed by Bethesda Game Studios.
Brink - published by Bethesda and developed by Splash Damage.
Prey 2 - published by Bethesda and developed by Human Head.
Hunted: The Demon's Forge - published by Bethesda and developed by inXile.
RAGE: published by Bethesda and developed by id Software.
And to everyone else: Bethesda Softworks (the developer) typically spends 5-6 years on each game. We should be DAMNED GRATEFUL for that, not like those BioWare and Treyarch gits who spew out a 20 hour campaign every year.
Dammit, I know that what I posted was related to SOMETHING here, I must have missed the comment I tried to reply to.MercurySteam said:Yeah that kinda made no sense as a reply to what you quoted me on. Therefore there is only logical that Bioware makes more games.
I use strange words today.
So Bioware IS its own mother then?Selvec said:Bethesda Softworks is just the publishing company owned by ZeniMax Media Inc. ZeniMax Media owns MANY different media companies. Bethesda Softworks is their gaming branch. Thats why you see Bethesda Softworks on all titles of games developed by companies owned by ZeniMax Media.
Bioware was a self owned, self founded, and self employed company. It has 4 variations of Bioware. Kinda like how you have Rockstar North, Rockstar West, Rockstar LA etc etc etc. Bioware that makes most of the awesome RPG's is Bioware Canada. But they often outsource to the other departments.Moonpooman said:Bioware was it's own mother?Selvec said:Because Biowares mother company was Bioware before its purchase by EA. Same name. Whereas Bethesda is owned by ZeniMax Media Inc., as is iD, the guys who are making Brink and a few other development companies.Moonpooman said:Bioware consists of four different studios, whereas Bethesda (dev) only consists of one.MercurySteam said:Motherf-, can't people stop putting down Bioware for one goddamn day? EA buying Bioware is the first time that Bioware the has ever been owned by someone else. Thats what has made them a legend. They, up until a few years ago, where one of the few self owned game studio's in the world.
Speaking as a former Gamestop employee, your not being hired is most likely a testament to your intelligence.Vohn_exel said:I tried several times to work at Gamestop, hoping to get a job because of the fact that I could at least tell people about the games I knew about. I work at UPS now. Well I say I work, but I've missed so many days they're LITERALLY about to fire me. You have to really stupid to get fired from UPS. It's possible that I'm just looking at what could have been with a "grass is always greener" view. Of course, the grass I have now is extremely green, and for some reason I seem to be dead set on covering it in gasoline and setting it on fire. I should probably get that looked at.Turing said:Speaking as a former Gamestop employee, your not being hired is most likely a testament to your intelligence.Vohn_exel said:I tried several times to work at Gamestop, hoping to get a job because of the fact that I could at least tell people about the games I knew about. Gamestop likes them dumb and easily exploited.
That being said, its a fun enough job if you're just doing it to pay your way through school.
Also, this thread is not about my Gamestop bitterness![]()

Yeah, Bethesda has publishers and developers in one package.Cuy said:The only one of those developed by Bethesda is Skyrim. The rest are only published, so yeah, Bethesda are still lazy and incompetent, no worries, bro!
