As recently confirmed Bethseda has been developing a new Elder Scrolls game for the past 4 years, it is a MMORPG. Since there are many MMO players, and Elder Scrolls players. Surely the combination of the both will have a huge effect on the gaming world.

So what are your thoughts, are you happy? and what do you want to see from the game?

As seen in the older Elder Scrolls titles the worlds are huge, and detailed, so i would like to see that in the new MMO, also as we had a taste of large scale battles in Oblivion, i would also like to see huge boss and army battles.

An Elder Scrolls MMO?

While I certainly could see it working, both gameplay-wise and lore-wise, it seems to me like just another fantasy MMO in a big gray ocean of fantasy MMOs. Sure, some people would play it, but do you really want to put another WoW-competitor on a field filled with the ravaged corpses of WoW-competitors?

Color me uninterested.

Also the newest book is set 40 years after the Oblivion incident, and it ends with a possible opening for an MMO, so it would fit in with the lore.

I'd like the idea of traveling to the different locales in the Elder Scrolls Universe. I think it'd be pretty cool.

Not at all happy. :( I hate MMOs. I wanna be the main character of an RPG.

If it's not on a console, I'm not buying it. My computer can't really run 3D games and I don't plan on updating it.
Also, if it has a fee, I'm not getting it.

Well, Bethesda, we had a good run with Morrowind and Oblivion. I'll be over at Bioware's.

laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame. I only have time for one mmo in my life and nothing is going to take the place of the new KotOR mmo.

Ill just stick to Morrowind and not worry about paying 15 bucks a month to play

no one better mention it as a , "... killer" Because that'll jinx it. But I would sooner play TES. It's just so engaging. I recently got the KNights of the Nine DLC box set and set out for Mehrune's Razor. DAMN that was an awesome quest. And I'm 5000 gold richer for it.

But if they make it so that there's basically no single player... Well, haha, nice knowing you Bethesda. Have fun on your corner friday nights. Sellouts.

This means it'll probably have a subscription fee, I don't want to keep paying for a game after I've brought it.

Not a way to go. Noone can beat Blizzard at their game. I learned it while playing warhammer. It was good it just wasn't... wow. You cannot beat a game with so many years of patching, balancing and developing. It's a waste of lore.

While people play many games, they usually play just ONE MMO.
Only when devs will learn that in this case copying is a BAD, BAD idea, I will be excited about next MMO.

Good example, EvE Online. It has it's own audiance, completely diffrent from the wow one. And while it's not for casuals, it just keeps going and making profits.

Probably the next good mmo will be the one developed by blizzard...

They better make The Elder Scrolls V also. I'm all for trying it out as an MMO but I want a new addition in the single player experience. Give me my toy Bethesda!

Who knows, maybe this way we'll get to explore ALL of Tamriel instead of just one province. That would make me happy.
