If it was Fallout that would be cool but for Elder Scrolls it would wreck the whole vibe of it.

I seem to change my mind on this subject every time it's raised. Currently I'm going with "I'd totally play an Elder Scrolls MMO". Then, of course, I said I'd totally play a Final Fantasy MMO, but a couple of hours of FF11 was quite enough to ensure I'd never go near it again.

I guess we could go with "I'd totally play an Elder Scrolls MMO as long as they don't fuck it up". I've always trusted Bethesda, so my hopes are high.

I believe it when there's a release date. I don't think Bethesda would anger their fans so much as to ignore elder scrolls five.

I am really disappointed honestly. If they do anything multiplayer with the Elder Scrolls series they should use their traditional formula with some kind of co-op integration. It will just get lost among the ever growing mountain of worthless MMOs.

If it's not on a console, I'm not buying it. My computer can't really run 3D games and I don't plan on updating it.
Also, if it has a fee, I'm not getting it.

Well, Bethesda, we had a good run with Morrowind and Oblivion. I'll be over at Bioware's.
Playing The Old Republic MMO? X-D

I could be able to deal with something like Borderlands style, a few friends and you cutting up Ogres, but I'm not sure about an MMO. I'll give it a look-see. I'll give it a chance, but I'm not expecting much.

What? They've got to be kidding me... Does it occur to any developer nowadays that maybe, just maybe, not every RPG fan WANTS to play with other people? By that, I mean having other people completely destroy their game experience. And if you try to play an MMO and ignore everyone, all you have is an immensely flawed and boring game.
Hear hear... if they don't make a separate Elder Scrolls 5 I think I will literally explode

Hey, why didn't the quote thing work? I humbly apologize for my newbiness!
You are missing the [/quote] at the end of the quote.

OT: Here's hoping that TES:IV will be separate, and not delayed by this diversionary project.

Ehh, I can't say I'm happy. I mean, I'm pretty anti-social, so I don't really play MMOs. And what I've always liked about TES is that I could be left alone and wander around. Don't get me wrong, I thought it would be cool to have PvP or multiplayer battles in the arena, or be able to clear out dungeons with a friend, but making the whole thing a full blown MMO doesn't bode well with me. I guess I'm just afraid its going to turn into WoW.

However, I'm still going to buy it the day it comes out, especially if it has Fallout 3's gore and dismemberment system. TO HELL WITH MORE VOICE ACTORS, I WANT SEVERED GOBLIN HEADS!

They could probably make it a server-based multiplayer game like the FPSs. Then you could just play with your friends, and still see all the other people's characters, maybe invite them to games and stuff. Then you've got a non-competitor to WoW while still having an online game, and it would serve as a vehicle for DLC.

Edit - actually, if I'm playing the game, I'd like to have a friends list that can see that I'm on and pop on and join me, like Steam is doing now.

Yeah, no, not interested. MMO's are over for me, I won't be enslaving my will or my social life to them any longer. My opinion doesn't matter anyway though, since I have also sworn to never buy another Bethesda game again, since I paid 60E for the broken and unplayable FO3 GOTY for the PS3 and Bethesda have not bothered to patch it at all, so I ended up shoving it up my ass. So, as far as Bethesda are concerned, I will just be another pirate from now on until the end of time (or until an employee of theirs mails me a check for 60E).

Goddamn it. Because what the Elder Scrolls games need is more grind. If it really will be an MMO, then it will be on PC. Fuck you Bethesda. I
sorry I can't afford a 1500$ gaming PC. I really hope this isn't going to actually happen.

Well that sucks; the thing about MMORPGs is that they take up a lot of time...Try playing (And actually getting somewhere) in two MMOs AND maintaining a life outside of the basement.

Just means (unless its better than the old republic MMO if that ever comes out or whatever it is I'm playing by then) I wont be playing it; one less customer.

If it was going to be a single-player game I would almost certainly buy it; as it stands, its going to have to be an exceptionally good game for me to bother even trying it.

I'd like to see more quests for the major guilds as well as more guilds in general. To be honest though, if Elder Scrolls IV is only an MMO I will probably not be one of the people playing it. I am not a fan of MMO's >.>

I would play if it came without the subscription fee but I don't think that's going to happen e.e

Could be good for slightly more casual mmo gaming as opposed to the heroin laced experience of WoW.

I'm looking forward to it, I mean, why not?
