I heard that the reason for the change is because Pluto cannot clear it's trajectory of neighbors, but I don't really buy that. If an object the size of Jupiter were to suddenly invade our planet's trajectory, does that mean Earth is no longer a planet, because is certainly can't remove Jupiter from its path.

I know that what I said is speculation on my part, but there are planets called "hot Jupiters" orbiting other stars that would easily displace of destroy a planet the size of the Earth.

What is the new mnemonic anyway? I learned it as "Man Very Early Made Jars Stand Up Nearly Perpendicular". Is it "Neatly" as opposed to "Nearly Perpendicular" or what?
