FF XII was more open ended than this...and it wasn't suckage.Snork Maiden said:You anticipated a FF game based on the fact you like open ended RPGs with loads of freedom of choice? Small wonder it disappointed.GamemasterAnthony said:Nthing Final Fantasy XIII.
Since WHEN is something linear where all the combat is pretty much done for you considered a ROLE PLAYING GAME?!? I thought RPGs were supposed to have some modicum of choice?

Soz have you played both the games???RAKtheUndead said:*facepalm*neilsaccount said:Fallout: New Vegas. Why don't you just let Bethesda handle the fallout world from now on Obsidian? You created the franchise and that's fine, but Bethesda made that series interesting. Don't muck it up with mediocre, thinned out quests and stupid bugs that can easily be fixed. Also, dont coast off of Bethesda's accomplishments by taking it for your own and not adding anything new. Shame on you...
Right, I'm probably getting trolled here, but fuck it, I have to respond. By creating the franchise, and making two of the most loved cult classic wRPGs yet designed, Obsidian Entertainment does have a greater claim to the whole "making the Fallout series interesting" thing. "Mediocre, thinned-out quests" is exactly how I'd describe Fallout 3 - Junktown in Fallout has more moral flexibility than the entire main quest in Fallout 3, and that's not even getting into the whole Vault City/Redding/NCR/New Reno angle in Fallout 2. By criticising Obsidian for bugs and not Bethesda, it makes you seem like you're afflicted with an awful case of bad memory. Fallout 3 was far from a perfect game in the respect of bugs - in fact, on the PC, it was barely tolerable until a few patches in.
Took the words right out of my mouth. Agree with every letter and puncuation mark in the post.kman123 said:I'd say Conviction. While it by no means was a BAD game, it wasn't really a Splinter cell game. I miss the old styles. I still had fun with it, just not the fun I wanted.
