Fable II was a big disappointment, not free roaming at all, and I didn't feel love within the game.
Sucked, why does it show people wearing top hats in the demo but there are none in the game?

Mirros edge, GTA four wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, and actually Prince of Persia.

Prince should have been a linear game, it would have been SO much better if the storytelling wasn't chopped bits.

Vampire rain, I don't know if it was an 08 game but it was definitely the shittest game I played this year.

I actually liked GTA4. Well, not as much as GTA:SA though. To redeem the GTA4 "flop", I expected Saint's Row 2 to take the place what GTA4 should have been.

Instead, PC gamers get shafted yet again by what is probably officially the worst port ever.

I'll have to jump on the Fable II bandwagon. And, while I wound up actually liking GH:WT, I thought the set list could've been A LOT better.

GTA IV definitely takes the cake for me. It was so much more limited than GTA San Andreas. The keeping your friends happy dynamic of the game is just annoying.

Gta:IV was MEH, it makes me wish that they had just done "more of the same" and not bothered try doing anything new(Which was make it too realistic)

They just juiced all the wackiness and humour I could laugh at,cut down good missions and added annoying characters.

Fable 2 which I have been waiting 5 years for also turned out to be pretty lame, I was expecting to feel some semblance of emotion but everything went wrong with the story and all

GTA IV by far. Uncharted was also very bad but I wasn't as dissapointed when I played it.

Fable 2 for me. It's way too easy and the HUGE cities shrunked to 3 streets of 'copy paste buildings', with wondering clones adoring your hairdo.

IS EVERYONE FORGETTING WII MUSIC!

Disappointment implies that you expected it to be good.
And MGS4, GTA4 at a very close second. Both games need to let me play them.
Oh and someone else said Spore; I think that might trump my other two contenders.

WII Music is not a game and therefore does not count.

GTA4, because it took all the humor and fun out of GTA and made it "real". Well real was boring as shit. Taking my cousin to a strip club, and taking jobs from a jamaican guy I couldn't understand even with subtitles on was NOT FUN.

Guitar Hero: World Tour, about the only saving grace of this game was Hotel California, all of the other awesome songs were included on Rock Bank 2 at the same time, so instead of shelling out 200 more dollars for the GH instruments, I think I'll just stick with RB and listen to hotel california on on my ipod.

And its not a 2008 release but I did actually pick this game up again this year for about 8 seconds, FFXII. It was the crappiest game of 07 and its bad enough to warrant a mention this year too.

GTA IV, Gears of War 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Red Alert 3, and Mirror's Edge. Oh, and Fable 2.

Red Alert 3 for me - it wasn't as comfortable (if that makes sense) to play as Red Alert 2 was for me. Plus that whole water aspect of it shouldn't have been there. I'd have settled for a Bear-Cannon Expansion Pack for Red Alert 2.

Too Human! Fourteen years in the works, and it had nothing to stand on. Story, graphics, game-play, soundtrack - all to present nothing new, interesting or worth the ten-hour investment into the story.

Fable 2 was... Fable. That's all I have to say about that.

Fracture looked freakin' cool to me in the beginning. It flopped.

Wii Music - saw it coming.

Oh god. Spore. The game that we all heard about YEARS prior to its release. Fail fail fail

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows - The web-slinging is better than ever, the animation is simply stellar, and for the first time since Spidey on the PSOne, combat is actually fun again. Why, then, with all these great tools at it's disposal, does the game still play like a set of chores (beat up 50 symbiotes, then 100 symbiotes, then 150 symbiotes, then beat 50 flying symbiotes, etc, etc)?

Sonic Unleashed - Maybe it's my fault for buying into Sonic Team's annual "Sonic is Back!" campaign year after year. I know it can't possibly be true, but a guy can dream, right?

Mortal Kombat vs DC - Again, this one's on me. I shouldn't have expected a MK crossover game to be anything more than a repetitive timesink.

for me, i really hated fable 2. I thought because they took so long to make the game, it would have a long storyline. but noooooo.
i would have to agree cuz it took such a long time to make and made it sound so good and then it flopped in my book
