ME3, SC2, DA2 & Spore.

Spore was about 1/100th as deep an experience as advertised.

ME3's ending was an affront to God (regardless of whether or not he exists).

DA2's ending didn't even fucking *try*.

And SC2... boy howdy. 1/3 the content of the previous titles, the plot's been more or less completely fucked- and the main villain is a big evil black *thing* that sounds & acts remarkably like space Satan.

I was personally disappointed by GTA4, it didn't have the same quirky feel and it really lowered the humor which for me always characterized the series. I understand they attempted to grow up but for me it guaranteed that I won't buy GTA5 without seeing it in action first

Gamestop douche (customer not employee oddly enough)
Speaking as a former Gamestop employee, I assure you that for every rare douchebag employee you might meet, there are 100 douchebag customers.

But that's ok, the good ones make up for it. ;)

Black & White. What a horrible game. I picked it up, found out it was localized, tried to play it, lost my sanity due to the horrifyingly bad localized voice acting, and returned it the next day.

Brink, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, every Call of Duty game after Modern Warfare 2, every World of Warcraft expansion after Burning Crusade, Dante's Inferno

I'll have to look back at my library.

It's been said already, but Dragon Age 2 at it's release was a huge let down. However, I recently have gone back to play it, and didn't find it nearly as offensive (minus the repeating areas and formulaic approach to companions).

Chrono Cross's battle system and lack of being an actual sequel. I wanted a sequel to CT, what are you giving me? A horrific spell-equip system and no characters from the first game.

Mindjack. There's a game about brain hacking and it sucks? Ugh. I want a game about Ghost in the Shell style mind hacking... ><

Spore. It was supposed to be the GAME TO END ALL GAMES. Then EA murdered it and turned it into Baby's First Genre Introduction.

Ah yes, another one of Molineux's famous "MY GAMES LET YOU DO EVERYTHING" crapfests. It astonishes how some people still listen to this guy, who has long since spent all of his well-deserved cred for his earlier work.

I'm easy to please, but Operation Racoon City. Seriously, it could have been awesome, it could have been soldiers VS zombies and make everyone's dreams come true. Still feel hurt by that one.

Spore. Just spore...if you saw the GDC 2005 demo, you know exactly what I am talking about.
You mean that glorious 35 minute demonstration?

*sigh* what could have been...
That was just the video, there is a 60 minute one that includes Will Wright talking (out of his ass). Not all of it is on the video (particularly the beginning), but even then, it is pretty interesting.

I will second (or third) Final Fantasy 13. I have played most of the series prior and loved 12, but 13 was just garbage that I could not force myself to play through.

I would like to add a terrible disappointment:

Too Human. This was an early X360 game that was boring and a little simplistic. It was in production since the PS1 days and when it did finally come out, it was just a throw away action game.

Let's see...

Spore. Officially when EA decided its userbase consisted entirely of drooling retards.
Master of Orion 3. Made by a douchebag who didn't know what he was doing, and it shows.

And...

RAGE. The point I lost faith in id Software. Graphics were nowhere near id what was hyping them to be (even after all the patches). Gameplay felt like something from at least 6 years ago. Only thing rage-inducing was the ending, most of the rest of it sucked.

I never heard of the game in development, but I saw it when it came out and pretty much said "wow what an interesting concept!".

Couple hours later it was pretty much "why am I still playing?" It wasn't really that bad overall....but the parts that were bad really broke the game completely and made me not want to play.,

I would say the ending to ME3, but we all know by now that it wasnt the end, so mute point.

For me, Gears 3's ending was crap and Halo 3's ending was crap. There was so much hype and then it just.....nothing happened, even the final "battles" were shallow and easy.

They easilly trump ME3 by a country lightyear.

I think problem with Reach's ending in my opinion was the audience (most of them.....maybe not) knew that what the ending of the game was already going to be best on the story of Reach.

I thought Gears 3 ending was good all things considered(Oh no FLAK ARGHGHGGH).

Reach I actually did like, the whole thing seemed more complete and a lot less rushed. Halo 3 however...........the whole game just didn't even graze the hype the thing generated.

I'll take your word for it! I didn't have it when it came out and I wasn't big into the new 360 at the time.
