In Bad Company 2,

I kept expecting Sarge to die. In every form of media, if a character says that they have 'X days until retirement' or 'should be in retirement by now', they might as well eat a grenade. Not BC2. Which is sad, because I wanted all of those guys to die in a fire.

That was annoying to keep hearing. I think Yahtzee even said something about that in the ZP on BC2
