What was your biggest dissapointment in the world of video games?

Mine was ranked fight #5 in no more heroes. Sir Henry mother f***er stole my kill, and I really wanted to fight Letz Shake.

I can't really think of anything better at the moment.

Does anything really beat the ending to Halo 2?

"YEAH! I kicked that furball's ass! Now let's get back to the chief and finish this--- what the hell is this? A CLIFFHANGER?! YOU'VE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!"

I think though any game that has a cliffhanger is generally bad though because its like eating a really nice pie while finding out the last bite is onions. It just leaves a bad taste in your mouth after a good experience.

I'd say my biggest gaming disapointment was when thety shut down the online for Monster Hunter on the PS2, but if Monster Hunter 3 doesn't end up coming to the US that will replace it

The ending I dislike the most has got to be Cod4. Your in a huge fight and BAM! Everyone's dead but you and the games over. The game is amazing though.

Doom 3. I went out and bought it without trying it first (I almost never do that, and never have since) expecting a solid action game with some creepy atmosphere. What I got was a game that tried and most of the time failed to be scary while totally neglecting the core of every FPS: fun core gameplay. The guns felt weak and had lousy sound effects, they never threw more than around four enemies at you at a time, the levels were overly long and repetitive, the characters laughably bad. The game was just so goddamn pretentious in it's mediocrity.

Insult to injury: the mod community, that up until that point had always sprung up around Id games, never materialized.

Moral of the story: Never expect good things from a game whose shotgun goes 'thump'.

The ending of Halo 3, and really the campaign in general. I mean, I liked some of the parts (scarab battles, the part where you're in a tank convoy), but it was just too damn short, and I was expecting some sort of epic final battle on Earth (damn you misleading ad campaigns!).

i gotta go with the wii and nintendos recent e3 showing. third party has also been a let down. the concpt of motion control is a great idea and any wii game that incorporates it well makes me see how amazing it could be, but the abswence of some quality games with some good controls that really immerse you in the game makes the wii a huge disappointment for me.

MGS2, I played through the whole game hoping I would get to play Snake again and this Raiden guy was just some over-long joke by Hideo, but no. Yeah and MGS4 was overall pretty underwhelming and unsatisfying. My suggestion, just play MGS1 for PC and 3 (subsistence version) and ignore the bullshit 2&4 with The Patriots, it just became pointless and annoying.

And I my opinion of GTA4 has been changing from day to day from it being tedious and boring to amazingly exciting as the euphoria engine again gives that touch of realism that so many games lack.

Goldeneye: Rogue Agent. That was a real let down. When I found out the original concept for that, I was pretty hyped about being a real badass. Complete with my Golden eyeball. Then of course it turns out that out of your four powers, only one is any use and the rest are pathetic. Everything was hideous, AI was retarded (especially ironic seeing as how the AI was one of the most hyped features), it had the worst elements of regenerative health etc. etc.

My main problem was that after looking at the concept art for the game, I realised it could have been really good if they'd put more work into it.

I don't get it, what is with the CoD4 ending? Who the hell said they all die? You're in just as a wounded state as Captain Price, when he slides you his handgun. And the soldiers come, and you can see them going to Captain Price ($, kaching!) and the others. You don't even see them dying. And if that's the picture after Mile High Club completion, then sorry, I haven't looked at that picture.

But I guess, Alone in the Dark. I really just self-hyped that game. It looked so awesome on paper and on the tech demos, but turned out to be garbage.

halo 3.

Was made out and advertised to be gods gift to gaming, and was just another mediocre fps shooter, with multiplayer that doesn't even come close to quality of what was available on the pc....3 years ago...

You'll love it tho if you enjoy high pitched kids screaming down the mic whenever they get a kill...
Seems multiplayer is dominated by kids

Well, my iggest gaming disappointment was Tomb Raider DArk Angel. First waiting for the for a year or more. It get's delayed, when it comes out and sucks ass. From game macanics all the to a crapy story.

Delays are fine, if your going to delay the game better f'in rock.
