I was really let down by my buddy's ability at MW2. He was bragging away about his skills and how he totals in online play and I kicked his ass! Let's be honest here, I'm only slightly better than n00b status when it comes to FPS's.

Bioshock. Who would guess that a game with such great reviews would be a piece shit. It wasn't the worst game I ever played, but it's in the top ten. And I always hear people complain that Halo is overrated.
because it is
1. Plasmids are useless in every sense of the word
2. Basic infantry have more health than I do (An entire clip of anti-personell rounds takes a quarter of a splicer's health)
3. Hit detection is horrendously inconsitant
4. Ammo is non-existent in Rapture, it can't even really be called an FPS since the wrench is the only weapon you can use reliably (I think System Shock 2 had this same problem)
5. Big Daddies are supposed to be intimidating, but it's hard to fear something that you have no reason to fight since it results in wasting useful resources to obtain ADAM which is useless.
6. Setting was amazing, but there is no excuse in the world for bad gameplay
In conclusion: should've been a movie

Do you also want me to tell you how I managed to beat an elite bouncer to death with a wrench because I quite literally had no ammo for any weapon?

It isn't a game that anyone really gave a rat's ass about, but back when I got my wii, I got the game Medal Of Honor: Vanguard as a gift.

Jesus Christ, I was crying at the horrible thing. The controls with the wii remote were so god damn horrible, if I actually walked that way irl, people would think I was mentally retarded. And the AI, good lord, I could walk right in the middle of 3 germans and use my shitty controls to slowly turn to each of them and shoot them and only get hit once.

One of the games gimmicks was you could land anywhere you wanted to start the mission by parachute. This failed really horribly for many reasons. There's pretty much one spot you can land in without landing in a bunch of germans. Also, there's a medal/achievement thing for landing in a certain spot. Ok....so this whole freedom of landing thing is bullshit because you want me to land in a set spot anyway! And to top it all of.......there's 4 missions in the entire game where you start my parachute.
I learned 2 things from this experience: 1) Medal of Honor is dead franchise. A thousand shooter franchises trump it, call of duty, battlefield, bioshock, just name it, it's better. It may have been good in its prime, but no one cares about cheesy WWII stuff like this anymore.

2) The wii is an enormous pile of hyped shit. I can't believe I bought in to the hype, but the whole motion control thing seemed so cool. So what did it do? It delivered the stupidest controller ever seen in video game history, destroyed one of my favorite games ever (Paper Mario), and.......I don't know. It doesn't support HD for one thing...what the hell? This is 2010, and your competition is putting out 1080p games. And the games are clearly designed for the casual young kids who don't understand video games.

Sorry to go on a rant like this but I really hate how disappointing games and consoles can be.

Neverwinter Nights. I moved into it immediately after playing Baldur's Gate 2, so I was expecting a huge, in depth world with lots of side quests and interesting characters. Instead, I got a crappy game where liches attacked with daggers and dragons did nothing but use claw and breath weapon.
Fah!

A few things (all coming from bioshock 2, because I haven't played the first).

There's plenty of ammo, you just need to learn to constantly switch guns.

The game is designed so that when you get low you use a first aid kit. If you never use one, then yes, you will die every 2 seconds.

Every plasmid is useful if you use it correctly. They stun your enemies and everything.

It is a unique game that some people just are not going to like.

Really? Whenever I engulf an enemy in flames they seem perfetly capable of ignoring it and still shoot me. You'd think being on fire would be distracting. And yes electocuting them does stun them. Now if only I could stun them all instead of just one while his eleven companions continue to shoot me. Also, how are medkits helpful when I go from full health to zero health in .0357 seconds? Yes, I timed it.

Well in Bioshock 2 the fire makes them run around screaming for a few seconds. And maybe you could move a little bit to avoid being shot? There is no reason for you to go down that fast unless you are right in front of a splicer or big daddy.

I think you need to go rent bioshock 2. Although I doubt you'll like it, it's nowhere close to what you've described to me.

mw2 is overpowering espesially with all the red signals from american host and a crappy campaign but if think ODST needed its own indipendent multiplayer not a disk that takes the point from downloading and paying for maps

Hm...Mostly Disgaea. I loved it, I was hyped up for it for ages. Then I got stuck and realized that in the SRPG field, it doesn't qualify at all. And I wanted an SRPG that wasn't Fire Emblem...

Basically any game where there is an instant kill boss that KO's you in a second one way or another.

God to I want a friggin DS...

I was really let down by Fable 2, for the fact we where promised all this amazing stuff and we got a bland rpg with a bland story.
What else do you expect from a game hyped by Peter Moleneux?
I got the game BEFORE i joined this site and knew how much of a blowhard he was... and the DLC... i almost felt as bad as wehn i bought the jedi tempel DLC for Forced unleashed, which is another letdown.
Ah, I see.

Well now you know.

Trust me, under the overhyped game, is a pretty fun experience. Keep this in mind for Fable 3.
True, im not saying i dident have fun, i was just letdown, and i did cry when my dog died. i dident care about the kids to tell the truth, right when i got the shot, he said half a word and i blasted him in the facehole

Brawl. Easily Brawl. Everytime I see words like letdown, disappointing, shit, etc. I always think of Brawl. Could of been one of the best games ever but they ended up removing everything that made it interesting and even added in really fucking stupid things like random tripping, who likes to fucking trip for no reason at any point in a fighting game?! Or any fucking game?!

Nullifying the game play isn't the only thing that sucks about Brawl, playing online is as exciting as watching grass grow with so much damn lag, Most of the level's are so badly designed you end up killing yourself more than your opponent or your either fighting for survival the whole time because you can killed in one shot by just about everything, The super moves are so imbalanced it can make a world of a difference to your endgame (especially fucking Sonic), you still need the Game Cube remotes because the Wiimotes suck ass (though you still need at least one to turn on your fucking Wii), Emmisary Mode is extremely boring (it would be a little better if you could fucking combo the millions of generic shitty desgined baddies), I had more but I can't remember them right now.

I'm going to have to agree with Force Unleashed. It had a storyline that was just bleh. The gameplay was pretty good, but eventually one figured out it was Force Maelstrom, lightning everything. Boss battles were just, block hit lightning. It had potential but, they kina blew it. The historical missions and mini games weren't too bad though.

Borderlands... supposedly the result of an RPG having sex with an FPS. More like quest grind using guns instead of swords and wands. It was good for about an hour. The AI is so stupid. And the final boss was a walk in the park -.-
