the reapers in ME, fucking bioware keeps insulting my intelligence with their explanations

I don't accept that their only purpose is to make space terminators.
Oh god that. I hate that about ME so much.

this spoilerbot 3000 ruined the entire game for me, seriously. "you can't understand the reapers, just go shoot stuff."

i felt very insulted
That's a picture of the corrupted VI recording on Ilos, but I'll assume you meant Vigil.

I don't really see why you expected Bioware to tell us much about the Reapers in ME1. They've got to save some stuff for ME3.

Why do game characters never have to go to the bathroom?
Actually you could go to the bathroom in Harvest Moon, A Wonderful Life.

Dawn of War 2 - the Techmarine Martellus

In Chaos Rising, Martellus goes traitor, screaming unintelligable bullshit about how Chaos is awesome, and your squads of dudes curb stomp his ass. In Retribution, he's alive and hanging out with the Captain of the honor guard all buddy-buddy and being a good little soldier in service to the Emperor.

Did this bother the shit out of anyone else? It's never explained, and frankly I quit taking him along on missions because I know he's a dirtbag traitorous son of a *****, even if THQ doesn't.
The traitor can be any of your team, not sure how its chosen but for me it was Tarkus... :'(

Metal Gear Solid games.
They don't contain plot holes, they are one gigantic plot hole.
They're more like some kind of plot black hole and nothing makes sense but I still love those games.

OT: I'm just going to come out and admit I'm not that good at spotting plot holes since I mostly just go in for the ride if the ride is enjoyable. Though if something comes to me(cause right now I'm drawing a blank) I'll be back with an edit!

Well, yeah. I know that corruption level in Chaos Rising could make anyone a traitor, but Martellus wasn't playable in that campaign. Retribution didn't follow the player's choices in the previous game. It seems they were just counting on the player being stupid. And that was disappointing.

The biggest plot hole I've seen was in the ending of the Allied campaign in Red Alert. The guy that stuffed a sock in Stalin's mouth and put a huge rock over him? WHO THE HECK WAS THAT GUY?!

What's keeping me from sprinting thru all the levels in the Force Unleashed?
I ended up doing that.

Also the force and the sith in most Star Wars games.
"So Senor Sith master, what is your motivation for killing everyone?"
"Because someone has to"

I've been playing KOTOR recently and that's the best characterization I've ever seen for the Sith. I was playing a good guy, and I seriously started believing some of the sith teachings.

What is sleep to a Pokemon Master?
And you rarely see them breathing! But what is oxygen to a ten year old boy?
Why was a ten year old given control of a creature that could destroy a city and then instructed to go catch more of them?

This isn't really huge, but it still pissed the hell outta me:
So the nerdy, Yahtzee-esque guy is the history buff, right? So how did he not realize that the Spaniard, a.k.a. Borgia, was a GODDAMN POPE? That's basic European History crap. Hell, I got that info from looking up 'Borgia' on Wikipedia, and I'm not in a super-awesome assasins club.

Also, Modern Warfare 2:

So, the Russians find an undercover C.I.A. agent at the scene of a mass murder and instead of calling the US to get the story straight, they just invade the states? And how did nobody from the US not see an entire army advancing onto US soil until they were literally on the front steps of the White House?

Well I would have to say The Terminator world.. starting with the first movie where something in the past happens before the present, I dont care what time travel/dimensional laws or ideas are used for it, it cant happen that way (future happens before the past) So any story/game coming out of that world to me still have that plot hole hurting it.

So instead, I'll just say this:
If Kessler caused Cole to get his powers in InFamous... how did Kessler get his powers? Time travel tends to leave tons of plotholes.
Said already, but Cole/Kessler's a conduit, which means he already has psychic powers. The Ray Sphere just made them appear faster.

My plot hole would probably be from Halo, and the existance of the Halo rings.

If one guy with a shotgun can clear out thousands of them in a single day, how long would they last against a billion guys with shotguns?

Failing that, the Forerunners probably have orbital-death-ray-things. Nuke them from orbit!

EDIT: My theory is that Stephen Blum wanted to keep doing voices for 3 main characters, so they rewrote the entirely storyline so as not to make him cry.
It's strongly implied that canonically the traitor was Avitus.

Makes sense too, he was the most headstrong and bloodthirsty of all of them.

At least the lack of eating is a reason behind the lack of bathrooms. Still, it doesn't answer the eating question in games.

To continue with the food thing: how exactly does a drumstick or a ham-sandwich heal gunshot, stab and/or blunt force trauma wounds? Especially if the food was either in a trash can or, concealed within a brick wall. Garbage food would normally decrease ones overall health. I don't even know what bits of drywall/ brick would do to your digestive system but it can't be good.

And let's not forget general cleanliness. No showers and not even a change of clothes.

I also wondered why they chose the cop-out answer "we are unknowable" for their motivations, and was annoyed. For what's it's worth, though, I eventually came up with my own explanation.

The reapers, being robots, were built by an organic species as a weapon of war to wipe out organics that stood in their way. To prevent the AI from questioning it (and eventually deciding to reject the command), it was built to want to destroy organics, but no explanation is built in to the programming to justify this "desire." Thus, they use the "we are unknowable" cop-out to prevent themselves from realizing that they have no reason to follow their original programming.
