ah a Starcraft man! too few of us remain...anyway if im gonna pick a starcraft hero i gotta say Fenix, Raynor and Zeratul were close but then i remembered that Fenix DIED and CAME BACK as a photon-shooting robot monster so he wins

out of every game i've played though i have to pick the original Doom guy

Doom guy was the inspiration for half these guys that are being picked *points at people saying Duke Nukem*
Indeed, Fenix kicks significant amounts of ass. I died inside when
I had to kill him AGAIN in the zerg campaign. Spawn Broodlings, kekeke! (I wanted to make it fast and painless)
i know man, it sucked, when i finished that level i went to a bunch of starcraft websites praying that by some wierd twist he came back again, i even hoped maybe Blizzard would decide not to make his death canon. No luck though :(

Gonna go with Freeman. It takes some serious balls to throw yourself facefirst into a battle between the last vestiges of humanity and an oppressive, seemingly omnipotent alien empire after having spent the last few days you can remember traveling through an equally alien world to fight a huge behemoth, all without any special military or combat training. Albeit, he is being guided by powers more powerful than he is in HL2 and on, but Black Mesa was all him.

I'd say Masterchief again but I've been singing about His great glory for a while now so I must find someone other than Him to refer too.

In that regard Wrex from Mass Effect.

you know...i was never specific...i said games...so, IF i was including the miniatures in comparison with the games, An'ggrath the Unbound from the 40k Universe, this guy is the biggest badass there is. he literally makes it rain blood from his enemies...his armour was made by the blood god and this guy is soo powerful the people who attempt to summon him are scared.

but thats just me, whether he's a main character or not depends on the circles you travel in. plus, hes from a miniatures game. but a game nonetheless....wouldnt a 40k game be awesome...anyways, thats for a different thread. :p

The answer is always Duke Nukem.
Duke is a pussy who screams at the sight of a chin, because he knows that Ash is coming to get his lines back, and you don't fuck with a man with a chainsaw on his arm.

Duke Nukem is the "Biggest Toughest Manly Main Character", the others are either not big enough, tough enough, or manly enough. Or they are simply not main characters.

Marcus Fenix or Master Chief. There can be no substitute. Although as a Spartan-I, Sgt. Johnson comes pretty close (not a main character though, just a side character...).

Magneto from Marvel vs Capcom 2. The Rape King, Sir rushdown, the scariest and fastest character to ever grace a fighting game (if you know what your doing). 2nd place to Duke for being badassed.

Yep, it's the Duke for me too. I wanted to think of someone original, but really: how can you top that shit?
