Probably the first Mass Effect- Everything that happened on Virmire.
But then that was in 2007 when I didnt have a 360 and didn't think I would play the game so I listened to a friend summarize it. Finally did get a 360 and played the game this year, still a damn good game and an amazingly crafted story.

OT - I've been lucky enough in most cases to avoid spoilers... Well, there was last week, when I finally got around to getting KotOR, and one of my friends started talking about Revan... I heard a bit more than I wanted to before I managed to tackle him.
That the enemy hunting the nameless one in his quest for death and identity is actually the physical manifestation of his mortality! Its lived so long and accumulated so much power its basically a God, and tries to sustain itself by continually murdering TNO so he constantly suffers amnesia and doesn't reach him.
Of course upon reading this it prompted me to play the game.

I try to avoid listening to people about games I haven't finished. Besides the spoilers I've gotten myself when checking up on how to prepare for a final battle (looking at you, Dragon Age), two bigs ones were Gears 2 and Mass Effect 2. I just bought Gears 2 a week ago on a whim but I already knew how it played out thanks to Game Informer's Gears 3 article (although it wasn't exactly how I pictured it would go down).
Mass Effect 2 blatantly put massive spoilers in the launch trailer. I'm still annoyed.

Well, the biggest twist I've been told about is FFVII... with the obvious. But I think everyone's been spoiled about that at some point, so I'll go with the KH1 villain. Also who he ends up really being in KH2.
