Ass Creed 1: The fucking flags.
Ass Creed 2: The fucking falcon feathers.
No More Heroes 2: That one level that never fucking ends.
Alpha Protocol: Fucking ambiguous time-limit dialogue boxes. If you want to get us to think on our feet, you're going to have to make conversation a lot more fucking intuitive than that.
Team Fortress 2: Natascha *trollface*

The Mako in Mass Effect.

I didn't mind the vehicle itself so much. But the maps, oh god the maps. Just empty colour-swapped hills and nothing else.

...

Oh, and the end of Assassin's Creed II.

I saw it coming a mile away, right from the very first "The Truth" unlock. I then spent the entire game convincing myself that the developers wouldn't take the story in such a retarded direction. And then the end happened. Retardation, ahoy!

Good God, that's incredibly scary (Never played FFX).
It's a good game.

Except that part, obviously.

The items enemies dropped in 007: From Russia With Love was one of the reasons I ended up selling that unfortunate pile of plastic. Unlike your standard game where if an enemy is killed he drops ammunition for the weapon he is holding, in FRWL the ammunition dropped is completely randomized. While this may not seem too bad at first, you could encounter a group of enemies carrying nothing more than tiny pistols, yet for some damn reason one of them drops ammunition for an assault rifle, the other sniper rifle ammo, and the rest ammo for an anti-tank gun. It was absolutely infuriating, especially when you kill an enemy using a weapon you were low on ammunition for, but he ends up dropping ammunition for a gun that is absolutely useless at that particular moment.

Driving controls in Half Life 2 on consoles.

Everything else in the game was so well designed and then they give me the worst, most clumsy, counter-intuitive vehicle controls I have ever used.
I must concur. It's even more of a shame considering how the PC version had excellent driving controls. Granted, they were the same basic layout as the console versions (WASD = Forwards, backwards, and turning. Mouse = Aiming), but they weren't nearly as clumsy as the console controls.

That being said, however, I'm not really sure how Valve could have improved on them. Standard driving-game controls would have mucked up button placement, and Halo-style controls just would not have worked at all. I guess that's what you get when you transfer a control style that works well on PCs to a format where said control style definitely isn't as feasible...

Pretty much everything in Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit after the first third of it or so (which is really interesting and well done and seems to be on track to be rather good...until the entire story/plot falls apart), but especially the final third of the game, which is just a constant string of "WTF?" moments one after another for an hour or three. It's hard to fit that much nonsense into that short a period of time.

If it were me... I'd have done it like so:

R Trigger - Accelerate

L Trigger - Shoot

R Bumber Reverse

Left Stick - Steer

Right Stick - Look

B - Get in/out

Fallout 3, mothership zeta...
What was wrong with mothership zeta?
It was just corridor shooting. Not fallouts strong point.
It hinted aliens caused the great war. That would chnage cannon and lessen fallout.
It had no redeeming qualities, and just shouldnt have happened.
I hate broken steel, but the reason that abomination exists is because fans bitched and beth caved. This however, there is no reason for it to exist.
I disagree,

anyway Im going to say the orgininal ending and not because I didnt get to keep playing,

it was because my charachter, her father disapears without realising consequnces causing her to almost be killed and forcing her to leave home (and her best freind the only other person who mattered in this crappy world) so she has to face everying wandering around a depressign broken world , stavation, radiation , fighting monsters and asshole raiders to find her father and being a good person along the way,

everyone else is ether miserable or apathetic, and then when she dose find her father and tries to help him with helping the wasteland the enclave come and screw everything up, but she keeps going even anyone else would have completley lost it and OD'd on chems out of greif oh and at this point shes got no chance of returning home, best freind casts her out after solving the vaults problems (thanks Amata! best freinds forever right?) so finally it comes to the finale battle! take back the purifier!

and so how dose it turn out? you have to die...exactally how your father did, and if you get sarah lyons to do it your evil

the main thing is you can't get fawkes to do it, it has to be you because the universe hates you that much plus I think this was a case of they wanted to do more but they ran out of time so I would say broken steel is very nessicary

Ending of Borderlands. There is so little that could have changed to make it seem so much better.

1) Fight Steele on mountaintop
2) Open Vault yourself
3a) Fight monster in parallel dimension
3b)Remove line about monster can't be destroyed in own dimension
3c) Increase item drop quality X10
3d) (optional) make there be actual loot in the Vault

What are we talking about for actual added game content here? One more boss that probably wouldn't need an extra AI package, and one more boss battle arena map (perhaps the same one with different "alternate dimension lighting" to make it feel "new"). That's all that would have needed to be done to make the ending go from pathetic to average.

Now, I realize that every person is entitled to their own opinion, but in contradiction to overwhelming evidence? Basically...if Portal was bad, then...it would fail. It didn't, so...yeah.

I'd have to say:
Fable 1 - hyping the game as much as they did just to see it fall and break it's kneecaps, though admittedly this is not a fault of the game... just Molyneux(cba looking up spelling)
Fable 2 - Releasing the game after the same hype train, again not really an aspect in the game
Fable 3 - Starting development

As for actual aspects of games, Croteam would win for trying to put a story into the Serious Sam games (good games though)

No Russian.

It could've been cut down into a bloody cutscene. Or the mission could start when you leave the terminal. Closing the door behind you and seeing a dead civvy lying there. Then they could elongate the fight against the FSB.

BUT NO!

Yeah...

About Peter Molyneux...

You can't believe anything he says because he is like a video game visionary.

F@$# Peter Molyneaux! I lost my dog in the end, and then they kicked me back into the game world without one of the central game mechanics. I couldn't find and dig things up without my dog.
You had the option to get your dog back.

fable demon doors that only work when playing multiplayer. the worlds behind the doors are brilliant (see the legendary weapon door) and the little sidequests are always fun (see "get really fat and dress up in pyjamas of the opposite gender with each part died a different colour" in millfields) but when they block it off until you play a SINGLE player game in a MULTIPLAYER fashion, it just gets annoying
