It's my main gripe about console ports to PC. I grew up playing PC games with robust user-defined save systems. Hell, I used to back up my saved games when I would uninstall something just so I could play those sections later when I would reinstall it, but as ports from console to PC became more common, the robust save system that many PC gamers have come to expect fell by the wayside when developers began designing games for platforms without the capabilities of a PC.
In short, the lack of a save system is why I didn't bother with Bioshock Infinite. To me, it shows laziness on the part of the developers.
