Just watched it, that has got to be one of the most awesome trailers I've ever seen!

Here's a working version:

Ah much better.

Looks shiny and interesting.

But also maybe more limited... rather than a more 'cavernous' feel I'm slightly worried we may see 'bottomless pits' make a return... I hate sky levels in general for that.

I suppose my main complaint is why is it named Bioshock?

Could they not have dropped that prefix, it's clearly a very different game.

Still, interests me more than Bioshock 2 did so I'll keep an eye on it.

So instead of under the sea, it's in the air, I very much doubt it is an MMO simply because they should know it would fail horribly

When the main character fell down to the blimp, and i've realized just WHERE this city is, i was like:

[HEADING=1]O_O[/HEADING]

I wonder why it still isn't in the News Room.

From the depths of the sea to .........a flying city?

Is the Bioshock franchise really grasping at straws already?

It dose not matter much as story plot are second to mechanics, if the mechanics are as lose and crappy are they were in the first 2 games it will suck....

WTf is with the flags everywhere? its my understanding that they only did THAT in the states on..flag day? otherwise it was business as usual...
But aside from that particular gripe, it looks good. Hopefully it will be bigger than bioshock 2 though, more in-depth play. The last one was a shooter with shiny, irrelevant bits attached.

Steampunk is sweet ^_^ Still running with the dystopian scene, though - and looks like it's once gain led to by segregation and isolationist tendencies ;) Maybe there's an element of bio vs mech going on, with cyborgism replacing Bioshock's gene splicing.

We do. IF IT'S A GODDAMN PREQUEL!!!

90% Of the entire BioShock universe is practically untouched. We haven't seen the city get build, we haven't seen the city in it's prime and alive and we haven't witnessed it's fall into insanity.

Why ON EARTH they did not use that for the second game?! All that material has so much potential for a brilliant and unique BioShock game! Yet we got a BioShock 1 clone with some tweaks. What a shame what a shame.

[sub]Disclaimer: I did enjoy BioShock 2, but in the end I was still disappointed.[/sub]
My first thought is that that giant flying city fell down into the ocean, where they made Rapture out of it.

Kinda makes sense, seeing as it's set about 40 years earlier than the first game.

EDIT: Maybe they rebuilt the jet engines to those vehicles they use in Rapture!
But that would retcon bioshock 2...hmm, maybe they SHOULD sweep that bastard under the rug...

Even if it's a new game from the brilliant mind of Ken Levine I can't shake of the feeling of disappointment. Weren't we promised a new IP? And yes I was hoping for some kind of succesor to System Shock, not once again BioShock but somehow in the sky.

Hmm I only played Bioshock 2 and I liked it alot (Hard to be dissapointed in similarites to the first if you've never played the first)

I'm not sure I like the look of it... No decaying rubble, No water outside and inevitable leaks in an underwater city (Water + Electricity = Fun) and a freaking sky city... My least favorite kind of city ever...

People need to stop with the sky cities, they always contain the same things, lack of freedom (Usually can only go through corridors, unless you can fly...) "Bottomless" pits and retarded platform jumping throughout the entire city to make up for the lack of ever being able to go out of the city... Also the background is usually awful, just clouds and a clear blue sky with the occasional distant land...

I'll keep an eye out to see what the city is like and what changes there are to the game (Such as actually needing to swap plasmids rather than being able to go through with just one or more variety in weapon upgrades)
