The problem with the new bioshock film, and almost every game to film conversion is that they only want to make the good games into films, and almost all of the good games have storylines that are more centred around the gameplay, or the fact that you are controlling the character and way the story goes. I mean, how can they possibly recreate the 'would you kindly?' thing, if you're just watching someone else live it, not living it yourself? it was shocking, thought-provoking, fourth-wall-breaking, and many other big fancy words.
even if it is an awesome film, which it has a lot of potential for what with the incredible setting and atmosphere, they'll just be something lost in the translation for us gamers. The only games they could probs get away with making into a film is the Metal Gear Solid series, which were practically DVDs anyway.
