It is not, however, made for DRM. Which is what stops me from playing their games on PC.

The idea that the PC is or has ever been dying/dead is flat out laughable.

As activision said the other day "70% of our profits come from the PC"

I find myself agreeing. I don't have a great PC and I do keep a console for the exclusives, but I find consoles all too controlling.

"Oh, how nice" I found myself thinking, "The PS3 and 360 both have hard drives. Maybe we can install games and not have to juggle fice discs around everytime we change our mind".

Turns out we can install games. YES! No more getting up and switching the game in the console!

"But you still have to have the disc in the machine."

What?!

"We can't let you do that, sorry!"

Oh.

Oh...

How about mods then, why can't we do that on consoles, with all the hard drives and installing? Because they hate us.

Hey, Mr.Bioware? We don't give a fuck about your platform wars. We only wish we could play Mass Effect 2 on our PS3, but we can't because you are too busy being a lazy asshole and making internet declarations. Fuck you.
Well hey, I wish I could play Uncharted 2 on my Xbox 360 but Naughty Dog are just being lazy assholes. See where I'm going with this? Besides, why would you ever want to play the second part of a story driven RPG with carry-over choices without the existence of the first game on your system? Makes no sense.
Uncharted is a PS3 exclusive. Mass Effect is not. I'm not asking to be able to play Halo 3 on my PS3, just a game that was already released for the two other platforms, AFTER its makers already released Dragon Age for PS3. And I am not referring to the first Mass Effect, because I already played that during the brief period when my 360 hadn't RRoD'd yet.
Yes, Uncharted is a PS3 exclusive, just as Mass Effect is a Xbox 360 and PC exclusive. Why is it when the game is exclusive to those two platforms that there are calls for a PS3 port and any refusal to do so is called being lazy?

Believe me, I would be perfectly fine with Mass Effect on the PS3, but if Bioware wants to keep it an Xbox and PS3 exclusive, that's their choice. They aren't obligated to release it on anything else.
"Hurrr durrr they don't have to." Yeah, no kidding, they don't, and I reserve the right to trash them for their choice.
But to what end? How does an endless supply of criticism and pointless railing against other companies get us any closer to progressing as a species? And what is the appeal? The anonymity? The frustration? They're just video game platforms, for christ sake.

*wipes tear away* Bless you, BioWare.

I love the consoles, but I've been PC gaming for years, it'd be a tragic day if it died, but no, it'll never happen. Say what you will, but FPS games are still best on the PC, you cannot beat keyboard and mouse, because the genre was made around it.

It's a console exclusive. Many games that would be 360 or PC exlusives are easily ported between each other. It takes far less time, and far less money. Also, to code and program on PS3 would take a different team, = more money.

Could Mass Effect work on PS3? Yes. Would it be a shitty port? Probably.

Could Uncharted 2 be on 360? Yes. Would it be a shitty port? Probably.

You seem to be neglecting the existence of "gaming PC's." Not to mention that consoles are becoming more like PC's every day, what with web browsing, video chat, ESPN, etc.

Other than Grand Theft Auto 4, I have yet to play a game on PC that was better on the console. Same goes double for Bioware games, which have always, ALWAYS been better on PC (Dragon Age especially).

Most consoles are computers now. They're just pigeonholed into static graphics and limitations. PCs can be upgraded and modified to support more games and better graphics. :)

I've always been a PC player and own just about all Bioware games, except Mass Effect [series]. I finally got DA and DA:A on the PC. It was worth it to me. I would say though that consoles controllers are better made for some games but now you can usually get a gamepad sort of thing for your PC. Did I mention expandable? =P LoL
PCs are great and I used to be a PC gamer, but I think the only difference in most games is small and I much prefer a controller on my couch than a keyboard on a hard chair.

I dont see PC gaming dying out anytime soon...its one of the most massivbly available 'consoles' anyone owns really, even normal people.

Although I will say I prefer playing there games on my 360 though!

I don't know if he's right, but it's nice to hear him say it anyway.

Thank goodness for Valve and Bioware.

I've been know to say, "Consoles are for kids, PC's are for Men." See Deus Ex: Invisible War, Thief: Deadly Shadows

Yay 200!

Hmmm... you can obviously tell the difference in quality between Dragon Age on the PC and on consoles, but Mass Effect 2 seemed to run AMAZINGLY on the Xbox 360... in fact I was incredibly surprised it runs as well as it does while maintaining its gorgeousness. Then again, this guy never worked on ME2.

Obvious post in obvious

I saw this news post and actually said "I wonder how long it's going to take for someone to post that picture."

Not long at all.
Indeed. Although someone needs to find something to replace the Duke with in the bottom right...

I'm starting to grow tired of my Xbox 360, and, right now, it's my PC that's providing me with the most fun.
