I think the advert is well made. It promotes the idea that Call of Duty [and by extension, I guess, any game] is accessible to anyone, no matter who they are, and that can only do good for the industry as a whole.
It had people that looked to be under the ESRB age...
That's a very fair point, and something I didn't even consider. Bearing in mind the current fiasco in California concerning the sale of video-games to minors, this wasn't a particularly wise move. I guess we can just be thankful that, as far as I know, it isn't the main point being brought up in the media concerning the advert.

Goddammit, my head just explodes every time I see shit like this. I mean, no offense to the Americans here, but considering these shows and this kind of crap actually passes for television means that a good number of your population is actually THIS easily controlled.

"You've BLED! for this country!" I mean for the love of God.

And "Anybody can be a soldier" is not true (especially love his "Nobody can't!" fail there)? Bullshit. Anyone who's grown up in a country with mandatory military service can tell you that slogan is as true as can be, even if taken literally, which by itself, is again another level of stupidity. Not to mention that recruiters regularly visit just about any place and unless, God forbid, you're one of them brown peoplez they're trying to kill there, you're more than welcome to join for a pile of nice cash.

And those people in the commercial are shooting actual machine guns? Selling death (which is btw exactly what the actual army does nowadays for that matter)? Is that chick even listening to herself while she talks or is her brain just not advanced enough to two things at the same time?

I just love how one sided these things are. Never once have I seen a show try to take a matter like this seriously and not side with the anti-gaming guys, if there ever are any pro-gaming people there, it's like they're on trial and every wrong word labels them as someone promoting murder or something.

Pentagon is prohibiting MoH? Bullshit. They're just not stocking it at base, soldiers are still allowed to grab a copy in a store somewhere and play it all fucking day if they want. And since when are households supposed to constantly do the exact same thing that Pentagon dictates the military? That's pretty much promoting an unwritten martial law.

I'm sorry, but I totally have to agree, that was some of the worst bullshit I've seen in a while. This is the reason I don't watch television anymore and think I'll just bookmark this for the next time someone asks me why.

Do news stations in America just enjoy trolling?
You're right... I just realised, I've been well and properly professionally trolled >.<

They picked the tagline, because everyone can easily pick up a controller and become a soldier in the game.

This is RussiaToday, people. They started a massive ad campaign in airports around the world that consisted of giant posters of firearms. Guess what happened.

Think Fox News plus state control.
