It's probably already said, but I hate the Rubber Band "Feature" the AI's have in Racing Games, it's so infuriating to be ahead by god knows how much only to rub a wall and spin out, and then you watch the Computer race ahead for first.

And I guess in Civ it sucks how much faster the Computer can build stuff and expand

Pretty much any racing game ever. Damn AI gets teleported up to you no matter how far in front you SHOULD BE, just to make it more challenging.
I've always wondered, and am curious if you'd tried...

If you're really good and know the tracks, can you just keep the camera aimed behind you, stopping them from 'empty-spawning'*?

* My word for appearing out of thin air.

Shadow Mitsuo in Persona 4.

Insta-kills me on the second round.(First round is automatic spawning a second health bar in the form of armour.) My 4 party members do various buffs/debuffs/attacks. It casts silence and an attack that kills everything with silence.

This is a game where game-over is automatic if the party leader dies despite revive spells/items. DAMN YOU ATLUS!!!!!!!

TF2 bots.

When I'm trying to play as a spy, it's damn near IMPOSSIBLE. Sure, they don't spy check, but they have super hearing and turn around and blast my head off as soon as I decloak. And I mean that for the ENTIRE ENEMY TEAM.

Ever played Borderlands? The second you fire your first shot every enemy near you instantly turns, aims and fires directly at you. Though they really need to work on their accuracy.
I know that feeling. I can't tell you how many sniper head shots I've missed because they twitched at the very same moment I shoot.

EA's Fifa football series.

Every loose ball falls to the computer's feet. Every cross they put in is perfect, their players are all much faster and stronger than they should be, I swear there's no difference between the top two difficultly levels except that the top one cheats.

Seriously, Mario Kart 64 is a *****. If the bots fall down a whole they instantly teleport up. If they get too far behind they magically warp a bit AND they recover from shells much faster than you do.

In Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, a Wind Spirit use the Guard ability to block an attack for the boss that would've killed him. Spirits do not have the Guard Ability.

In Warlord's Battlecry: III, a Dark Rider used the Assassinate ability to insta-kill my hero. Dark Riders do not have that ability either.

Also in the latest Fight Night my brother's opponent got him with a headbutt. Which is an odd case when you think about it.

Worms 2: Armageddon on XBLA. The AI is always able to bounce a grenade off of 5 different walls and have it land on your worm's face.

I hate a lot of games for this. The worst genre I find is fighting games (they're so fast-paced and counter-based). But the hands-down most frustrating example for me was Dissidia on PSP. In that game, any attack is blockable, evadable, or counterable. It was difficult to do for a player because you had to have split-second reflexes for each move. But on harder difficulty levels the AI could do it flawlessly. Why? Because your button-presses essentially impacted what the AI was doing against you as you were pressing them.

In games like Dissidia, you're essentially controlling both characters with each button-press. And it's annoying!

Any age of empires game (and probably most RTS games) will have the human player at a disadvantage because pointing and clicking to get things done will always be slower than what the AI can do.

And I hate in Oblivion when you steal something from someone's house and the guards not only know that you stole something, they know exactly where to find you. Even if when you stole it when the stealth icon was dark (meaning no one can detect you). And I like (hate) how guards in other cities across the world will automatically know you are a criminal right after you left a city where you committed a crime.

Those bastards in Dragon Age: Origins that cast a spell making you unable to heal in any way for about 10 seconds. And they always do it when you're about 7 seconds from death. And if you try to use any form of health poultice without realising its there, it still has the cheek to use it up. Also any game where you're about to win the fight, and the enemy suddenly has perfect reflexes, dodging or blocking everything you do and then killing you, despite the health bars being 3/4 full compared to 1/98973899357372 full.

OH. MY GOD. Damn those things straight to hell. Insta-headshots from across the room on the temple (the big room with the hole in the floor) with a PISTOL!

Final Fantasy Dissidia, start any given game with enemy below level 99. While the match is loading you are given oportunity to view your opponents equipment. Never will AI restrict itself to equipment his level is accessible too. Ad you have to watch these screens every single match.
