Started on story mode yesterday, and so far I'm digging the way they've streamlined it. At first I was afraid that the more concise flow-chart style would mean that they were going to cut story content, but, while they did indeed shorten it, a couple hours only saw me get a quarter way through it, so there'll be plenty of bang, even for the buck of those of us who don't enjoy the online community.
Also, this game has quadrupled my already unmentionable love of the ragna x taokaka pairing. So much cute there.

A lot of people hate Celica for some reason. I thought she was great >.>
Regarding your previous post, thanks for the link! I started practicing Noel last night and a bit this afternoon and am slowly figuring out how her moves interact now. I am in desperate need of a bread & butter guide or something, but I have managed to find some neat combos out. Damn am I rusty though. My problem is that it's hard for me to naturally start the combos in combat >.<
If you want to get in some games sometime (or help me not suck) add me on PSN: Valarasha.

Wait a minute... I was about to go back into CS Extend just so that I can finally play that game's [full] Story Mode before jumping into CP's Story Mode...
Are you telling me I REALLY don't have to do that?
I am really hyped for this, i ordered the LE and it should arrive one of these days via my aunts friend who was visiting the us around the time it launched, i had to order it that way because it was too expensive in my country
I picked up BBCSE again in anticipation of this a few moths ago, and it paid off
I got really addicted and i really improved, i got 600 psr and leveled up to level 45, and i got many compliments on my Relius, most notably from a guy that was like lvl 60 who said he wished his Relius was as good as mine
I hope Relius hasn't changed too much, but from what i heard, his damage got nerfed , but it seems he can do better without Ignis at least
I also hope Izayoi fits me well, i really want to play her
If anyone wants to add me, my psn is CuyoSentinel, i play as long as i can find a match(preferrably with a friend) and my fingers(also throat) aren't hurting
I'm a really bad teacher, but with some divine intervention i might be able to make someone improve

Oh and if you know any good Makoto vids please let me know I have seen a few but I cant seem to find much on her
Because that's where the community is, the fun in fighting games comes from fighting other players, and now that Cp got released, Extend is pretty dead
And if you stop playing for a while, you get rusty and you can't do your midscreen bnbs anymore(along with a lot of other stuff
Edit:

Has Kokonoe been toned down yet? I heard they were doing that in a patch but I dont know what happened, she was absolutely insane from what I saw a while ago sure it took skill but holy hell the lockdown, pressure and mixups were ridiculous it reminded me of Marvel 3 with the one touch death combos.
Yes, from what i hear what made Kokonoe overpowered was:
Her damage
Her unblockable black hole(which leads into more damage)
She had an infinite blockstring
The 1.1 patch(which should be releasing one of these days) nerfed her by, among other things:
Changing her character combo rate to 70(from 80), this means any move in a combo after the first one will only do 70% of the damage it would do outside of one
Making the black hole go offscreen if you do it in the corner
Making the move you use in that blockstring slower, but i'm not sure if the change refers to the startup or the recovery

Challenge combos vary in mileage. Some are terribly impractical, others are pretty good. Usually only the last 5 or so are any good.
Challenge mode combos aren't terribly useful by themselves, but they can help you figure out combo routes for your characters, IIRC, i got the corner combo i used throughout Extend by altering one of the last challenges to be more practical

Got any tips on go combos with Noel and Hakumen? (mostly Noel, seeing as though she's my main), maybe Ragna and (non-Hazama) Terumi as well?

Well, knowing what happened in CS is pretty vital to following what's happening here, so if you haven't already seen it, you'll probably be pretty lost. Sadly, the game doesn't include a summary of previous events in it, like CSE did for calamity trigger.

Give me a few days and I should be able to finally be able to start doing some online matches with some of you...
(Then again, I have never done online since I've mostly stuck to local this whole time...)
Alright, those were some fun games Fappy. Hope I showed ya some of the cool stuff Bang can do. He might be mid-low tier in this but he's super awesome.
And good luck with yer training.

I was speaking about CP specifically. Extend challenges had overall more useful stuff than CP. They have 30 of em in CP but the first 25 or so are ultra simplistic stuff which throw away lots of extra damage and the last 5 vary in usefulness from char to char.
Ultimately the challenge mode is there to let you know "this char can do this kinda route" type stuff and then you're supposed to experiment and make your own optimal variants.
Oddly, the two characters of the new roster who I'm best at are Azrael and Terumi. Izayoi has potential, but the flow between going from Standard to Gain Art mode is a bit awkward. Bullet is also going a bit rougher for me than expected, probably because of her dash being so damned short. My one staple character who I basically had to relearn was Valkenhayn due to the radical changes to Wolf mode. Currently still working on Story Mode.

Izayoi doesn't really flow between the modes, she wants to be in gain as much as possible an in normal as little as possible due to her terrible defense. In certain matchups she will even instantly OD for light and remain in gain the entire match cause she has no safe way of getting light without dying otherwise.
Bullet's dash improves with heat up lvls so try to get her Ds to connect and she'll be more mobile.
Ok so I have a Jp import so I dunno how it exactly works for US version but in Japan it was thus;
You get a first print run of the game or you buy it digitally within 2 weeks of its release, you get Yuuki Terumi for free as a bonus. Other people buy him. Kokonoe's also DLC to be bought.
From the sound of things, for physical USA copies it's like in Japan but preorders of the digital USA copy now get Kokonoe for free and have to buy Terumi instead, though I have no personal confirmation to offer.
The JP copy had a cool card with Terumi's Blazblue that held his dlc code so to me that's a worthy collection item.
