Brad led the group through the senkaimon without the aid of the kido corps, which seemed like yet another bad idea. Rather than traveling straight to the human world, instead, they were traversing the dangai, a much riskier and foolish option if it could be avoided. He didn't quite buy the explaination the leader gave. Everyone knew that the kototsu swept the dangai clean of everything within regularly. This was a dangerous waste of time.Shaking his head, he stepped through the gateway. The blinding light faded once he was through, opening into the expanse that was the precipice world.
Looking up to the plasmic sky, he was already missing the once from the soul society. Up ahead, much of the group was pressing ahead. The dangai was oddly calm, the walls hanging still, as if they were frozen in the time the dangai itself supressed. Stepping forward, he looked down as far as he could through the chasm, trying to see if anyone other than this group was crossing between worlds. Even though no one else was there when they left, it was entirely possible someone may have been returning to the soul society.
Already though, the group seemed to be bickering. Kyuusoku was already laying into the shinigami from squad 10, though his badge showed that he actually outranked him. Followed by yelling over the group telling them not to draw their swords, Kage shook his head, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"Oh god, we are so dead." he said, thankfully at the back of the group where no one would hear. Brad seemed to be uptight over something though, and the fact that the squad 11 shinigami was rubbing his head was a testament to squad 11s "Leap before you Look" ideology. For just a moment, he considered turning back, but he crushed that thought instantly. Squad 2 didn't retreat. when all other squads failed, squad 2 succeeded. Which is what he needed to do, succeed, or die trying. He just hoped he didn't have to die at all.
