I don't mind seeing my own blood, although I've never lost a lot at once. I donated blood yesterday and once I got past the dread of the needle going in I actually found it quite pleasant to watch the blood flow through the tube to the bag.

Other peoples blood in moderate quantities does bother me though, I start to worry about them.

Not really I was when I was like five-six but after the car accident at thirteen when I had shards of glass in my back, chest, arms, and head. Also a piece of the door had been driven through my shoulder I lost my fear of blood after that cause waking up in a small pool of your own blood will do that to you.

I have these weird nose bleeds that are more aggressive than normal ones, so it just seems natural that I am used to the sight of blood, but not the thought. Hell, I managed to cover my bathroom in it and it leaves me quite drained of energy with a side dose of light headiness.

Other than that though, I normally draw blood from my indoor football (soccer) matches and dont notice the wound till I am home and in the shower (where it burns due to exposure)

My reactions to these scenarios are "Oh, goddamn it again?!" and "Oh, Look at that, i dont remember doing that one." respectively.

had a (not so) wisdom tooth surgicaly removed recently.
very painful and annoying, add embarassing if you include the swelling.

anyway, spitting lots of blood after the surgery (not allowed to rinse) i realised blood in copius amounts is very dark rather than red.

my reactions to bleeding depend on the circumstances.
a. its just a scratch/not concerned
b. serious injury/****!! help me stop this bleeding
if i had been drinking during a 'b' circumstance, the optinal reaction of 'noo!! im leaking alcohol!!!' may come into affect.

I don't mind blood. Never had a problem with needles even as a kid. Accidentally got a knife wound on my forearm that required stitching and I was more annoyed by the drop or two of blood that got on my pants and the fact that I wouldn't be allowed to swim for a couple weeks instead of the actual wound. Also the whole time I was reading this thread I've been spinning my pocket knife by the blade and have almost cut myself twice so far, so there's that. :)

I ALWAYS lick my own blood if I cut my finger at work. Its your own blood, anyone who gets freaked out by that is the weirdo in my book!

I love blood. I give blood regularly because it gives me a chance to see my blood swishing around in that plastic bag, to feel the warm blood flowing down the tubes which I wrap around my fingers. I just wish they didnt need to keep it afterwards...

I also like the taste of my own blood, and if i have a cut i will make it bleed more to be able to drink more blood. I am a little anemic which might be why blood tastes so good to me...

I take iron pills and try to eat high in iron food so that i can give blood, but more often than not they turn me down due to lack of iron...

I get scared when I bleed a lot, because generally, blood means something bad has happen, and a lot of blood might even mean that you're screwed. Blood itself doesn't scare me, only the reasons why it's visible to me.

It's been a long time since I saw a significant amount of blood come out of me. I must have been about four or five at the time when I cut my thumb open with a bread knife. Had to get a few stitches and I still have the scar over two decades later. According to my parents, I was a bit shocked while on the way to the hospital, but once there I was very interested in the process of anesthetizing and stitching up the wound and watched very attentively. Other than that, I haven't had any opportunity to see myself bleed severely. I've seen others bleed, though, including a person who threw themselves off a third story balcony and turned himself into lasagna on the sidewalk.

It doesn't really concern me, large quantities or small. Large, you usually figure the person is seeking medical attention; small, it's something minor like a nosebleed.

I don't mind my blood, small or big, when I was a child I servilely cut all my arm open and it never fazed me.

Other peoples blood though... *Sequels like a little Girl*

I've never had a fear of my blood so much as an annoyance to it. Every time I get a nose bleed, it takes the best of 5 minutes to stop it and usually my sheets and pillows need to be washed AGAIN for the third time that week.

I saw a huge amount of my blood when I was being preped for surgury (enlarged lymphnode) and instead of feeling "Oh shit, is this nurse tring to kill me?" I felt "Damn, 5 vials of blood? Whatever, when can I get the surgury over with?"

Also, when I accidentally cut my palm with my swiss knife (the small one) tring to open a package, I got a shock but stayed calm and started to apply pressure to it with a wad of paper towels after I washed off the excess in my bathroom. Since then, I have always been careful when using my knife.

Other than that, I see blood from regulary popping pimples/black heads/white heads and get scratches from rough-housing with my sisters or just being "unbalanced" or "unlucky" that day.

In small amounts, I'm fine with my own blood. However, I'm not fine with large amounts, but that's mostly because seeing it reminds me of the pain and seeing it usually means I'm looking at a wound. The blood itself is fine, but the injury is really disturbing.

... Also, is it weird that I enjoy the taste of my own blood?
Not really, blood is salty and we evolved to really fucken love salt.

My reaction to the sight of my own blood depends purely on quantity and circumstances. So for example, from a papercut it gets an "ow!! Eh, it'll heal". While if I see my own blood in larger quantities, like let's say, for medical reasons, light-headedness and possible fainting. Yes I am a total sissy about it. (Okay that whole fainting thing might be from my fear of the needles mixed with me being a big fan of my blood staying in my body).
I'm just lucky that I haven't had any major injuries that caused massive amounts of bleeding, because the reaction to that would be interesting. (Although, My fainting might slow the bleeding down a bit as a consolation prize).

When I see blood it all sort of depends on whether it hurt or not.

If pain = True then
Output = "Tsscch, ahh fuck fuck arhhh"
Else
Output = "What the ... better cover that up with my hand and look for some water & a bandage."

I never bruise, but I make up for that by bleeding like a ***** when cut deep. If it's not deep enough, I don't bleed (obviously), but I only seem to hit a medium with blood when it comes to can openers. Those bastards.
