Well, if your story is as slipshod and thrown together as WoL you should be able to get it done at a lunch meeting.

Guessing you ignored most of the character development then?

Maybe this means that they'll make the Zerg suck less in the multiplayer department...
They said they're holding all the balancing patches off till the expansion. Pack of bastards.
Where did you get that? Seems very unlikely that they're going to just leave the game unbalanced for what could be a year.
Actually, it may be the other way.

Well, if it is indeed the situation where the expansion will help boost up the races some, then 'bleh' to them.

Really, they only need to change one thing for Zerg, then they can be caught up. One thing:

Resource Gathering.

Yeah, I know, there's a thousand other things that really could change to make the Zerg alot better. But making the Spine Crawlers able to move is a benefit and a cluster of crawlers complete with an Infestor dug in the ground a few feet away so things like a 'mothership' can be taken. Yeah.

Plus really the major problem when I saw this was when I managed to play with my buddies in a 4v4 match against AIs for practice, we found ourselves getting one base mobbed each time. I got luck and sat in the middle of two bases, and with the two bases being very fast, they were able to defend.

Yet I still was moving slow, I had at least 15 Drones collecting minerals, 5 on each exhaust, enough Overlords to make sure I had enough to make an outstanding force. Even had Three hatcheries built and a massive Roach army.

Yet they were no match against the onslaught of 4 forces coming at us. THey snuffed out my two buddies with the third being attacked, and I didn't have enough resources to fight back. One or two upgrades were made, but that's it. What I was able to do, which can be described as insane, was build about.....10 Ultralisks. The computers took out the majority of my base with a few drones burrowed, and just when the game told everyone that all my units were to be shown...the Ultralisks were unleashed. They snuffed out all four enemies at once. but I still lost to their air support...after I took out their ground force.

So really, I see bits and pieces that need to be worked out, but Blizzard, please, try to figure out resource gathering :<

I am guessing that how its going to work is
tycus findley didn't die and gets corrupted during his time on char and ends up running the zerg.
but that is just my assumption.

I want predators, brutalisks and Mohandar's skin for void rays. In multiplayer.
Kerrigan turned human, so now she needs to learn how to control the zerg with lees power, in order to tip the balance against the hybrids.

Pardo says that each new game will feel like a sequel from a single-player point of view, while from a multiplayer perspective they'll feel like expansions sets.
Yeah, a $60 expansion pack...

Man, I remember when expansion packs were half the price of the original game...
I'm getting really tired of reading the "YOU'RE GETTING RIPPED OFF BLIZZARD FANBOY HAHAHAHA!" argument. It's not only presumptuous (because it's partly subjective OH SNAP), it's often wrong.

Let me address the pricing argument: Fun fact: Brood War retailed at 40 dollars back in 99'; the same price as the original Starcraft.
Adjusting for the inflation of the US Dollar (roughly 50% markup from 12 years ago thanks to Bush-era-economics. Based partly on the increase in minimum wage.), $40 * 1.5 = $60.

Well holy shit. Isn't that somethin?

Oh, and Blizzard wasn't the only company using this pricing system in retail. Microsoft's Age of Empires 2 and the Conquerors Expansion retailed at 40 and 40 on launch.
Even the Quake 2 expansion packs retailed at 35 bucks. Only slightly cheaper than the base game.

And this was everywhere in my region. Not just at Best Buy, Babbages's or Wal-Mart. But EVERYWHERE in my region.

So, pardon me if I think the "Prices were so much lower 10 years ago" argument is a bit misleading, because in my market, that was definitely NOT the case.

Now, I'm not trying to be unreasonable here; There is some merit to these complaints. Namely, the multiplayer nut will probably feel very cheated to play with the new units (which alter the metagame). Taken from that standpoint, yeah, I can see them calling ripoff; they're paying for content they don't need.

The same argument cannot be made for those of us who LIKE the single player content and so we fall into the land of subjective reasoning.

Activision-Blizzard might be flat-out greedy, but lets remember to keep the prices in perspective here. Retailers will always give you the shaft on pricing, but this "outrage" has been, and will continue to be largely exaggerated trolling fodder.
But fuck me for at least trying to bring an ounce of sense into this debacle.

Blizzard really knows how to bring the customers what they want at the slowest speed possible. I still love them though. Good ol' Blizzard.

I'm looking forward to Heart of the Swarm, for sure. Maybe the campaign will finally be able to teach me how to play Zerg effectively. I think I have Protoss down, but maybe Legacy of the Void will prove me wrong, just as Wings of Liberty did for Terran...
