I like to carry a big gun and sneak. Like staying out of the enemy's line of sight and get right behind with a shot gun.
The answer to this question, as with many questions in life is,of course, blow shit up.
Don't get me wrong, sneaking can be great fun, but I find something very cathartic about brute force and explosions. While some would say their not as difficult or technically impressive, I say playing games is all about having fun.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Deus Ex yet, I mean come on! The game let's you sneak around and then burst in on a group of guys having a meeting and light everything on fire!
Go for both. Really determines how I feel. Sometime I just want to run into a room full of baddies guns o' blazing and cause mass destruction. But sometimes it feels even more rewarding to sneak into a room full of baddies and against all odds kill em all without being seen. Getting that stealth kill when you should have been spotted is fucking awesome.

I love to blow shit up but beforehand I enjoy using stealth to plan out my attack and take full control of the situation. Then once everything is set and in place, I blow it all to hell and take them out as I please. I like to call it strategic chaos.
depends on the type of game,
fps, (depending on fps itself) i usually like to sneek up on enemies and then blow them up, but then again im used to ammo conservation so that would explain it. its kind of hard in some multiplayer fps games though.
shmups: blowing things up is part of the job, kind of hard to hide from enimies on a scroling screen.
rpg: sneeky sneeky, dont underestimate the sneekyness of a mage, who then procedes to blow things up.
everything else: ahh i cant be bothered making a huge post, so generally sneek past, then blow things up.

Sneak. The natural camouflage tonic was my best friend in Bioshock. When I play airsoft? Sneak, in my flecktarn camo. It's just my style man.
