Blu-rays, considering you can buy most blu-ray movies for the same, if not less than a DVD if you know where to properly look. I have probably 75 blu-ray movies and I haven't paid more than $10.00 for a single one and most of them were brand new in wrapping.

I mostly buy DVDs.

Blu Rays are almost always of better Sound and Picture Quality, even with low budget and old movies, but:

a) I usually am fine with the quality of an upscaled DVD
2) I'm the sort of guy who lets friends borrow DVDs, if not outright forcing them to borrow films i find awesome, and not very many of my friends have, or need, BR-Players.
III) DVDs are cheaper, and i buy a lot of movies.

However, with Blu Rays becoming cheaper and more movies getting DVD/BR Combos, i'm starting to by more "blu" movies.

I gotta say, I've had a PS3 for ages and I never used a blu-ray dvd before a few months ago. I was always under the impression that there's only so much more detailed you could get than DVD, but the first time I watched Hellboy 2 on blu-ray I was honestly blown away with the picture.

So, yeah, blu-ray all the way.

Both. It's not really about quality for me. Half the time the difference is either slight or virtually non-existent.

I generally make my decisions based on the content. Say a Blu-ray copy of a movie has more features than the DVD, (and I happen to desire the features it offers) I'd get the Blu-ray. Blu-ray + DVD combos are always nice to have too.

DVD only and I continue to buy DVD (I don't have a blu ray player). The only time I would move onto blu ray is when I can afford a player and when the market is shifting t everyone to buy Blu ray (when they decrease making DVD).

Blu ray, I have the player in my PS3 and 2 BD drives in my PC. They still play DVDs just the same and I can watch good movies on my PC if I want in blu ray.

A little bit of a mixture of the two. I use Blu ray for PS3 games, but for movies, original Xbox and PS2 games I use DVD. I can't really say that I care about blu ray that much, I will use it when DVD's become obsolete, but I won't go out of my way for slightly better graphics and more features that I wouldn't watch.

For Blu Ray I get that really weird problem when the dialogue is super low, so I have to turn it up really loud, but then the action scenes are fucking LOUD.

I hate it.
I get that in every movie, so f***ing annoying (not just blu-ray, but I think it might be worse on Blu-ray after watching Anuvahood on blu-ray).
OT: We go for whatever is cheaper or youtube for the indian ones =]. At the moment, to rent they are the same price at my local blockbuster and I have a PS3 :D.

Action films, or visual effects filled; blu ray. anything else, dvd will do (unless the same price)
for all who worry about replacing their dvd collection, blu ray plays both, so no worries if the dvd format is obsolete, you'll still be able to play what you've bought

Not counting PS3 games I have exactly 2 Blu-Rays and one of those I got for free. I don't really care for Blu-Ray movies, I'll just stick with DVD.

Half and half. I buy Blu-Rays whenever I get a movie, but most of my collection is still in DVD form.
