I doubt it. Blu-ray... it's not that revolutionary.
sorry but let's see a dvd do full 1080p, it can't do that on a standard dvd-9, also there's the storage aspect of it
Let's see the PS3 update a blu-ray game in under 30 minutes
That would be an issue with your connection. My PS3 can update a game in about 10 minutes or less.

I doubt it, unless MS is ready to shell out royalties to Sony.

My argument still stands

No your argument stands against your connection, however a PS3 can update a game in under 30 minutes.
Your complaint seems petty.

My argument is that it takes a long time to update a PS3

It's not that bad anymore, updates are smaller, and they now only update when necessary. They usually deem necessary when new DLC is released.

no microsoft would then have to admit that they have failed to beat the ps3, they are already forced to drop there prices becausde they know the end is neigh as it was when the original xbox failed to beat the ps2.

besides if manufactures complain that the ps3 is hard to make games for because of it x-box arent going to sacrafice one of there best assests that its easy to make games for

Blu-ray, proudly making you buy a movie you already have for 3x the cost.
I buy my Blu-rays through columbia house (canada) , when I buy one movie at regular price (average $27), I get all my other blurays on that order for 1/2 off... I'm spending less then regular dvd prices for them overall. If you own an HDTV/surround and care for quality of video and audio , it would be worth it even if I wasn't getting my blurays for cheap. I'm a huge gamer but I'm also a movie nut. I don't think it would be worth it for the 360 to adopt that disc format, but for people to knock it because they don't understand/respect it is just silly.(and for the record, I own a PS3,360,WII,PSP and DSi... and a gaming PC... I'm a gamer, not a fanboy)

I doubt that Microsoft will do that, not only would they have to pay HUGE money to Sony, it would only be used to play movies. I could see it being used in the next generation of Xbox.

I don't really know what blu-ray is can anyone explain?
A overrated,expensive DVD
I don't think blu-ray is overrated at all. Overpriced certainly, considering how long it's been available for, but the quality is plain for the eye to see.
Stick a standard-def DVD player and SCART lead on a 40inch+ LCD then put a blu-ray and HDMI next to it. Then say its overrated.

You know, I never say what the big deal was with installation times on the PS3. Most games take about 30 minutes, and that isn't a great big deal. If I can wait 30 minutes for MGS4 to install, then so can the impatient hordes.

But yeah, Xbox is probably never going to get Blu-Ray, more so since Microsoft backed HD-DVD, the direct competitor to Blu-Ray in the format war.

It's all numbers man, what do graphics really matter?
and how many disc will FFXIII be for the 360? was it 4 or 5? even at that they had to compress it still. the PS3 version only has 1 disc to do that. even id was having issue with the size limits of the 360 dvds

even they've reached the limit with most games on the 360 cause the discs are too small

i've never had a 30 minute update for a game. most of the time it's 5 minutes if that, but then again i guess i do have a good internet connection

so seriously i'd like to see where you're getting your info cause i'm pretty sure it comes from a planetary object

*Ahem* Let's review. Xbox 360? Microsoft product. PS3? Sony product. Blu-Ray? Sony product. Sony and Microsoft? Rivals. I highly doubt that will happen. It's also a bad idea to start selling 360's with Blu-Ray, because that leaves other 360 owners in the dust when new games are put on Blu-Ray. Maybe if a new MS console was going to feature it, but not in 360s.
