Books are boring. You should read comics instead!

Sam and max surfing the highway is good times and even better if you read it while on the highway in the midwest.

Then there's american chinese. Great book espescially if you have hang up's about color and social norms.

Oh my. Understanding comics by scott Mc cloud is a excellent read. Dare I say you may very well perceive meduims of many types differently forever.

Bone is a really good comic despite it's somewhat underwhelming appearance.

If you like the boondocks you might like there comic book collection all the hate(or something like that) that talks about the history of the comic. Some interviews with Aaron Mc gruder. And even mentions the then new work being done on the cartoon and the end of the comic series.

If you haven't read the Harry Potter series, do so.

Other fun, easy reads include many books by Daniel Pinkwater.

If you finished Ender's Game and liked it, I would highly recommend 1984 by George Orwell (it's pretty sweet for an older sci-fi novel) and Unwind by Neal Shusterman.

Unwind summary taken from Borders website: In a society where unwanted teens are salvaged for their body parts, three runaways fight the system that would "unwind" them.

I love science and genetics and whatnot, it kept me coming back time and again wanting to keep reading, which I usually don't feel compelled to do when reading.

If you can stand doorstoppers without a major plot, In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust. Great characterization and beautiful prose. I've mentioned it before, but I decided to mention it again, as I've just finished the 600 pg first volume, and moved on to the 700 pg second volume.

Pretty much this,as for specifics I would go for StarDust which is a awesome fantasy novel without the typical happy ending. Neverwhere is great as well as Anasi Boys.

Life of Pi or The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. I can't remember the authors at this time. I read them awhile ago.
If you like zombies I would recommend Day by Day: Armageddon by J. L. Bourne.
If you like the Halo universe at all you could always read the books. They're more interesting than the games.

"Atlanta Nights" by Travis Tea
"Death Rat" by Michael J. Nelson
"Lake Wobegon Summer, 1956" by Garrison Keillor

They're hilarious books (especially the first one); easy to pick up, hard to put down.

The Sculptor by Gregory Funaro.... It's about a Dr. Hildebrant, an expert on the works of Michaelangelo, who gets pulled into a search for a serial killer. The serial killer goes by the name of the sculptor, because of what he does after he kills his victims. And releases them to the public.

It's a bit... different. There is one inappropiate scene, but it's not to bad, and it doesn't go into to much detail.
