The second they make a Twilight game, I will

Just as long as I NEVER see Twilight: The Book The Movie The Game... in stores NOW! *shudder*

On a more serious note, I think Cell by Steven King or The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks would be really good. One a survival horror, the other about an uber-assassin.
Once they make a Twilight game, I will take the ol' Gundam down to Gamestop to teach them a lesson.

Oh and I'm going to say Horror at Red Hook by Lovecraft, it could be a nice point and click game.

Trigun, though I guess it's a series, not a film. Is that okay? It was going to have an MMORPG on PS2 called Planet Gunsmoke, but that got kicked in the teeth somewhere along the line. I'd love to see it finished.

I would say the Eragon series, if it was made into more of an oblivion - RPG style game (it would have to be more linear but I think you get the point). I know they made a game for the movie, but the movie was complete blasphemy and barely followed the book, so neither the movie or game exist in my opinion.

The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks could be good if it was made in a style resembling Thief or Assassin's Creed.

A DC Teen Titans game, built along the same lines as X-men Legends. Only difference is that the game levels would be a series of sandbox maps where the Titans solve crimes and continue to advance the storyline. Also multiple endings and story-arcs for the different characters, similiar to Mass Effect or KOTOR.

That would make me VERY happy.

Niel Gaimans Sandman series would be awesome, if done right. As would his American Gods.

I do believe Sandman is being made into a screenplay of somesort anyway. Could be rumours...

Spawn made into a Spiderman2/inFamous/[Prototype] game. Or The Deepwoods Chronicles made into an Oblivionesque game. And Darren Shan's books into Oblivion style.

Niel Gaimen's book Neverwhere would make a good sandbox game.
Would we be playing as Richard or playing as a custom character just in London Below?

And a game based on the newer World of Darkness books such as Vampire: The Requiem or Changeling: The Lost. But we are getting into very loose interpretations of books at that point. They would be Sandbox games of course. :)

Jim Butcher's 'furies of calderon' books would make a great MMORPG I reckon.

"Ender's Game"
Not the actual plot of the book but the battleroom game in the book has definite possibilities.

I know there have been a few of these, but I would love to see a new Discworld game. The old point n' clicks were great and showed the humour and magic that Terry Pratchett is famous for writing. I would love to see an openworld Discworld game where I can travel the Disc as Rincewind. Maybe even an original story, written by Pratchett exclusive to the game. If I was a dev I would definitely be looking into collaborating with Mr. Pratchett on something like that. Imagine, you're Rincewind, travelling around the Disc on another crazy adventure; you're travelling Widdershins through the countryside and spot Death. HELLO RINCEWIND. Then in the distance you can see Ankh Morpork, you run towards it, you're walking luggage behind you. I mean, call me a fanboy (seriously, don't) but I'd love to see a good openworld adventure from the mind of the master himself. Screw Peter Molyneux, Terry Pratchett's the new king of this realm!

We by Evgeniĭ Ivanovich Zamiatin could make a great Adventure game, in the same vaine as Silent Hill.
Also Logan's Run could make a good Adventure/shooter game.
Or Altas Shrugs,I have no idea how you would make that game,or even if it could be made.
But it is a a great book.

Harry Potter. And I'm talking about the original books. None of this stuff that's based on the movies. I want one based on the original novels. Preferrably a classic Final Fantasy-style RPG on a handheld system with 2D graphics... Oh, wait, they already did that on the GameBoy Color with the original book. And I own that game. Ah well, make old-school JRPG-style video game adaptations of the rest of the novels. And put Square Enix in charge.

Another thing: Leapholes. I found it to be a great novel, and with a storyline that amazing, I have no clue why James Grippando isn't asking some video game company to make a video game adaptation of the novel. Though what they would have to do is start off with it being an Action-adventure game, then, when Ryan is on trial, either make it a cutscene, or give them a shift in gameplay towards something similar to a Pheonix Wright game. Heck, if Konami makes it, put Hideo Kojima in charge (well, at least in charge of the second half), because of how the the second half's storyline would require gameplay to have more of an emphasis on stealth, Hideo Kojima would be an excellent choice with the stealth parts, seeing as he made the Metal Gear Solid games. Plus, after the game's story mode has been finished, throw in a sandbox mode where you can explore Ryan's hometown, similar to Endless Summer in Bully.
