NOOO!
Maybe, maaaybe, if producers started to realise they do NOT need to try and cram a whole book into a hour and a half to two hour long video feed. I am still pissed that they would cut whole sections away from timeless tales. All just to fit inside some time restraint that doesn't need to exist in the first place. I just wonder who thought that restraint up so I can beat them to death with baseball bats.
Even after 'lord of the ring marathons,' where people sat in theatres for the better part of a bloody day they still haven't got the idea that people are WILLING to sit through ten hours of film if it is a epic story. That they WANT every little part to be included into a story, to feel the whole experience of the book, and there is no need to sacrifice even the tiniest of parts for any reason what so ever.
No, instead we will still see all our favourite books being turned into nothing more then tripe to feed to the masses who wouldn't know how to pick up a book, let alone read one!
PS: Yes, I am still frustrated that Tom Bombadil was removed from the movie, a minor roll he might have played (in that story) but he was my favourable character. Not to mention that every major struggle the Hobbits went through on their own where probably some of the best parts in the series, showing the strength these 'simple' creatures can have when they aspire to greatness.
No, now many seem to think ever Hobbit needs a elf or human to hold their hands....
