I second this one. This series would make an awesome series of movies.

I would say The Odyssesy because it's the greatest story of all time. But then again after the way they butchered The Iliad with Troy, maybe that's not such a good idea. I'd just get pissed off and throw my popcorn at the sceen.

I'd like to see Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson or World War Z by Max Brooks, that is if directors and writters didn't take too many liberties with the original works

Andromeda strain. although they probably havve to tone down the scientifics factor.
ooh, and Congo too. Both by Michael Crighton, both are epic in it's purest form.

This would be impossible as there are to many introspective scenes in the book. Like all the time that Hiro spends with the Librarian. That is fun to read but would be boring as shit to watch. I would say that the Cryptonomicon or Zodiac woulkd make better movies.

Hasn't harry potter taught you anything. Books shouldn't be made into movies.
The Shawshank Reception, the Green Mile, The Lord of the Rings, and a few others beg to differ.

Would love to see a decent Discworld movie makeover, not the cheap made for TV rubbish
You rule, good sir. I shall PM you with my favorite Discworld books.

Aside from that, I say The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, another Douglas Adams book, one that isn't H2G2, and finally, one that should be hilarious, if they get the guy who played Dumbledore in the latest HP film to play Odin. That guy has a clear sense of humor.

I know it's a poem but, Dante's Inferno would make an awesome game! Provided a greedy company like EA doesn't... Wait, what? HUH?! THEY DID WHAT!?!!? Damnit...

Well, I guess the next best choice would be World War Z.

The Chaos Walking trilogy. Sorry Harry Potter and His Dark Materials. Thoughs first two books are just about the best teenage fiction I have ever read. I'd love to see a well done big screen adaption.

The Harry Potter movies have taught me that books can be pretty damn good movies in the right hands. Prisoner of Azkaban and The Half Blood Prince are both pretty damn good movies, and none of them are bad. Just an opinion though.

I'd also like them to make another attempt at Hellblazer, just make sure Keanu Reezes isn't with 100 miles of the studio or any cinema that's playing it so it can't be tainted.

John Flanagan's "The Ranger's Apprentice" series. Haven't heard of it, go look it up, it's a suprisingly good take on the mideval genre, but, it involves teens growing up, so we can't put David Yates behind it.

We'd just have to find someone badass enough to play Halt ( I was thinking Alan Rickman, but there's probably someone better suited for it ) and we'd be set.
