I agree. I think all Palahniuk would transfer well.sniper9474 said:Chuck Palahniuk's Haunted.
There are loads of Lovecraft adaptations. Most of them aren't very good. I liked the last 10 seconds of From Beyond. It captured the madness that characters would feel when faced with a Lovecraftian world.CNKFan said:All of H.P. Lovecraft's books. They have to be done right though which means us Americans can't shoehorn in a a stupid romantic subplot when it is being made because to my knowledge there isn't any women in most of Lovecraft's stories.
Dan Brown is a bestseller. That means he's popular. Doesn't mean he's talented.Nitpicker of the Wastes said:I liked 'em. Is he really that unpopular?dontworryaboutit said:You must be culled.Nitpicker of the Wastes said:All the rest of Dan Brown's books. Seriously, that guy has talent.
I agree that Mr. Asimov is a great thinker but a poor storyteller. However, this would make an unique movie, don't you think? To put the emphasis on the thoughts and not on actions. Certanly not something for the masses, but it would become a stuff of legends. Not Good said:I'm not sure if that would make the best movie, it's a good book sure but it's a very slow pace. If anything I'd do one of his other novels like End of Eternity or something.ZerOmega said:Isaac Asimov's Foundation

Hmm... I don't know; I'm having trouble visualizing a Clint Eastwood on steroids. [insert laughter]Quantum Roberts said:in the 90's there was talk about a live action movie. Clint Eastwood would have been brilliant back then.Jbird said:Frank Miller's Batman: The Dark Knight Returns would make a decent animated movie.
Your first post is literally exactly what I was going to say, to the word.Stone Golem said:Would love to see a decent Discworld movie makeover, not the cheap made for TV rubbish
Exciting! Thanks for the info!Gaderael said:From Wikipedia:kurtnut said:When I read "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card a few years ago, I was sure someone would adapt the book for film. Unfortunately I'm still waiting. What book have you read that would make for an awesome movie? Bonus points for director and actor recommendations.
Orson Scott Card released the latest of his author-written screenplay adaptations to Warner Brothers in May 2003. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were later signed to write a new script, working closely with director Wolfgang Petersen. Card later announced that he would be writing a new script not based on any previous one, including his own.[14] Following the departure of Petersen from the project and Card's self-described refusal to "condescend to green-screen Hollywood," Card announced in February 2009 that he had completed a script for Odd Lot Entertainment, and that they had begun assembling a production team.
