Artemis Fowl. Seriously, it was Harry Potter for the non-mainstream, and it rocked! :p

Mortal Engines. I wanna see a seven-foot-tall cyborg Frankenstein disemboweling people with finger-glaives, dammit!

I wouldn't say it needs to be made into a movie, but I think The Sword of Truth series would make a great TV series.

...

*sob*
WE DONT SPEAK OF THAT!

In all seriousness though the only reason it sucks so much is because Disney and Sam Raimi got a hold of it....HOW he could screw it up is beyond me, he already had a script and descriptions of scenery and freaking character personalities!
OH and if HBO got it instead of Disney then we would at least have some sort of gore to make up for the lack of Sam's intelligence....

That is of course if this mythical series existed... :'(
What I don't understand is how they messed in every possible way up so badly. What I understand less is how Goodkind actually approved of that horrible project.

EDIT: I had to word that last sentence better.

All of H.P. Lovecraft's books. They have to be done right though which means us Americans can't shoehorn in a a stupid romantic subplot when it is being made because to my knowledge there isn't any women in most of Lovecraft's stories.

If they don't screw with it at all and just make a direct translation from book to film:

Ender's Game

Mass Effect:Revelation

so really the only people who could do this would probably be the Japanese. I say this because they made the Deathnote film and just copied the manga over to film without changing it.

Like I always say in these kinds of threads

I want a 12 hour long adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand, directed by P.T. Anderson. I would watch that like the fist of a God.

I'm not sure if that would make the best movie, it's a good book sure but it's a very slow pace. If anything I'd do one of his other novels like End of Eternity or something.

None of them.
Just about every movie adaption disappoints people and reading a book is so much better.
Some of them are actually pretty fantastic...it's just that the rest murder the reputation. Which is depressing.

GOD yes! ANYthing by R.A. Salvatore(I'd prefer Forgotten Realms with Drizzt). It'd be a friggin' amazing fantasy action. It'd be like LOTR, but with less "Hobbits". I really want an R.A. Salvatore based movie. I'd also like an Artemis Fowl movie or two, maybe a Bones(the comic book) movie, and maybe a Redwall movie(a good one, not a "the children's" one). On a plus side, they're finally making a Deadpool movie.

I used to think Angels & Demons.

Then they absolutely murdered the whole concept of the book.

So, after that, no more.

I'm missing something here, is it a series or no?

On topic: They should remake I, Robot, but with more of the original stories in there, or at the very least, they should re-release the one they made with Will Smith, and he should do a rap video for it like he did most of his movies before that, I dunno why he stopped. Sure it would've been terrible, but leading up to the movie's release my brother and I made so many jokes about it that when there wasn't really one I was still disappointed.

And I guess while I'm wishing for terrible music videos that are hilarious only because they are so out of place, Will Smith should go back and make one for Independence Day, with Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum as backup singers.

I liked 'em. Is he really that unpopular?
Sitting through the Angels & Demons movie made me want to fellate a gun barrel. Of course that could be partly due to the fact that I sat next to a fat woman who ate an entire jumbo tub of popcorn and king sized pack of Twizzlers before the opening titles had finished.
