One of the best novels I've ever read. Oh, how I love Bruce Campbell.

OT: I'm reading 'The Consolations of Philosophy' by Alain De Botton.

'Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan', which I am almost finished with.

'11/22/63' by Stephen King is next.

Then I'm probably going to read, 'The Good Earth' by Pearl S. Buck for the millionth time.

Okay, may not be my millionth time. It's called exaggeration and we ALL do it at some point,..STOP JUDGING ME!

I'm reading the new Stephen King book 11/22/63 - what if you could go back and time and stop the Kennedy Assassination? Except you can only go back to late 1958. So you have to live in the past until that fateful day comes around (why doesn't he just kill Oswald in 1958? Read it and find out)

Im currently reading H.P Lovecraft's Necronomicon which I aquired not too long ago. Currently reading the story Herbert West Reanimator
I've heard Necronomicons aren't the best source for Lovecraft. Hebert West is pretty good, though.

I'm currently reading The Shadow Over Innsmouth. I'm almost done with it, so I'll be moving on to The Haunter of the Dark pretty soon here.

For school, I'm reading Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. It isn't very good.

Right now I'm reading Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. I'm only about 50 or so pages in and not a whole lot has yet happened plot-wise (mostly setting up the setting and characters), but so far, it's got a pretty good sense of humor. Pizza delivery is serious business.

Aside from textbooks, I just finished the last book in the Eragon series like 2 weeks ago. Good book, stupid as shit ending.
Oh sure, ruin the ending for me right when I have the last book right...

Wait a second... That's right! I already assumed that the ending was going to suck simply based on how absolutely terrible Brisingr ended... By the gods, why did I put down money on the fourth book? Curse you, green dragon!!!
Lol I got it for Christmas, but ya at least the story is done took him quite a while. Just wait till you finish it though, the ending makes no sense and completely made the main character seem like a selfish ass.

A Finnish author who goes by the name "Ilkka Remes", writes action/thriller/adventure/Detective novelles.
Last book series was Count of Monte Christo which was soooooooooo awesome!

"The Principles of History. And other writings."

Writings of R.G. Collingwood, edited by Dray and some guy with a Dutch name.

One of the masterpieces on the philosophy of history/historiography. Understanding Collingwood will make you understand why amateur historians are just that, amateurs. That it takes a developed mind to actually study history.

Very interesting read.

Im reading probably my favourite book of all time at the moment, Magician by Raymond E. Feist. Such an amazing start to an amazing trilogy, which then leads on to a so and so other 20 something series that is still going on to this day. I love you Feist, but theres such a thing as too much of a good thing some times.

Oh the ending wasnt so bad
It just tried to be too much like Lord of the Rings, Im pretty sure he did that so that he can use Alagaesia as a setting for more books, without Eragon being able to come in and destroy whatever threat there was in 3 pages. Also I thought it was quite refreshing how for once the hero didnt get the girl. I mean its strongly implied that Arya has feelings of a sort for him, and shes just smart enough to know better, but still

Just started A Game of Thrones. By started I mean I'm on the first chapter... But yeah, my girlfriend recently bought the first five books in the series, so I'm set for reading material for a couple of weeks or so. Haven't been reading much lately, might even be longer.

Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson. I've only just started, but I've quite enjoyed most of his other books so far. I hope I enjoy it enough to add to my MASSIVE book shelf back home instead of leaving it behind at uni.

Age of the Five trilogy by Trudi canavan
Guild Wars: Ghosts of Ascalon in preperation for Guild Wars 2.

The Night Angel Trilogy is the best series of books I've read in my opinion.

I didn't mind that he didn't get the girl, it just kind of pissed me off with the whole thing that he left, leaving only the elves with a dragon, and basically saying he's never coming back. Its still clear that there's a lot of tension between the different groups and he leaves just as soon as the elves get arguably the most powerful weapon in existence, instead of staying where he could actually keep the peace. Also, I'm not exactly sure why they couldn't just go back to the original island which was secluded from people, but not so far away that they couldn't interact with the mainland. I mean you could raise the fact that its contaminated, but the capital was also contaminated in the final fight and they managed to clean that up pretty quick, so I doubt they couldn't clean up the original island either. Just made him seem selfish and stupid in the end IMO.

You're probably right though about the reasoning behind. In the epilogue he says he will probably revisit the same areas.
