The ending sucked, it was shallow as hell and the story was ass.

But I still loved it, it was fun.

I agree, I actually liked it.

And my favorite intro is the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned's final boss' second intro.

Laughed my ass off.
Me to. I was like "That was an easy boss fi- what the he- HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA"

OT: I got 1 white and ammo I couldn't use off the Destroyer.

Unfortunately, the multiplayer on PC was almost completely broken, you couldn't connect. I could only play coop with one person, and I'm not sure if it fixed now. I had a lot of fun in singleplayer though!
The arenas in general weren't the best way to do that sort of player on player competition.

But all in all I really liked the game.

I don't even own the game, and yet I've played it as much as most of my others. And I think reviewers said the ending was disappointing because the entire point of the game is to get to the vault, and then the vault closes in your face. It is a pretty big letdown. At least give us some loot we can sell.

The thing that pissed me off about the ending was that there was no indication that the huge tentacle thing was the only thing in the Vault. After I killed it, I thought: "Sweet! I killed the Vault's guardian! It's lootin' time!" But instead of going in and getting some awesome alien weapons and armor, the game gives me some vague cutscene about how they're glad that the world is safe from the Vault for the next 200 years.

Maybe it wouldn't have been as much of a let down if there had been some foreshadowing about the giant monster, or if they gave us some inkling the Vault wasn't actually a vault, but nope. The rest of the game kicked ass, but damn the ending was a let down.

Borderlands was fun, no question, but I had a huge problem with the ending. The game is primarily loot motivated, we're not here for story time, so having all your work for the greatest treasure ever ending up in a stupid tentacle monster and a crappy artifact I couldn't even use was a bit frustrating. There's supposed to be a big "pay out" at the end of a game, either in the form story resolution, a challenging dramatic boss fight, or awesome abilities/loot. Borderlands had none of those, so the ending left a bad taste in my mouth.
Everytime i saw a blue i murdered my way towards it, and not finding one after the end boss? unacceptable
The worst thing is, blues are rubbish, they're only the second rarity up, below purple and three shades of orange/yellow.

And yeah, it's quite possible to off the last boss and only get a green at best.
I actually stole a purple sheild of The System that hed bagsied but had been downed...i murder teammates for purples...

The ending was a massive crap in the face. I'm hoping the Zombie Island DLC can make up for it. Is it good?
It is amazing. Definitely get it. It is, in my opinion, better than every other part of the game. Extremely well done, and very funny.

Yes...I remember that Reaperman...I remember that well.

'Oh look, I found an awesome shield!' *downed*
'Yoink!'
'NOOOOOOOOOO!'

Except I got you back later on when I got that awesome purple shield, and you wanted to duel for it.

'I can't hear you over my shield recharging!'
