Quantum of solace. First and only James bond film I will ever see. I just can't get into them.
NO NO NO! Listen to me, take all that you think you know about Bond movies, throw them out the nearest window and watch Goldfinger.

The newer James Bond films are basically just trying to be those action movies i.e a bunch of gritty melodrama with unlikable characters and very little action. Goldfinger is the best James Bond film ever made and it contains:

*A guy who throws a hat that can chop things in half

*A car laden with sweet gadgets

*A James Bond (true James Bond, played by Sean Connery) laden with gadgets

*The finest girls the '60s had to offer

*As many gun-fights, fist-fights, hat-fights, car-chases and Bond moments you could ever want

*A plot that revolves around a guy blowing up Fort Knox to "Take over the world financially"

This seems to largely be about movies people thought were bad, rather than boring. To try and keep things on subject, there are thousands of movies I think are bad, but at least bad movies elicit some emotion or response. Boring movies are ones where there wasn't even that amount of attachment.

I suppose if I had to pick movies that were boring I'd say something like say "Powder" (about an Albino who becomes pure energy), or any tearjerker like "Mask" where you know exactly what is going to happen but they draw out the entire premise and boo hooing until you can't take any more.

I'll also say that while I never saw "Meet The Spartans" I think the Waynes brothers and their imitators get a bit too much of a bad rap for their films (which do better than you'd expexct from the reviews since they keep making them). The ones I've seen tend to remind me a lot of Leslie Neilson movies (which are an aquired taste) but with a total dependance on pop culture. They are not the kind of thing you can appreciate even a year after they come out, you pretty much have to be watching them right then, and having seen/been a fan of whatever genere they are making fun of. I mean it's a mixed bag, but I have trouble flaming them unconditionally, since I admit some of them have made me laugh more than I probably should have. They deserve the low ratings I guess, but at the same time they do deserve some credit for acheiving what they set out to do.

P2. That was the worse horror movie in my life. It wasn't scary, it was just a dude doing violent things to a guy because he's lonely and wants the girl to love him. SO lame. There wasn't even a good story behind it. Trust me. Worse movie for a horror night.

Alice in Wonderland was probably the most boring stuff I've ever seen which I had to sit through to the end, when my friends convinced me to go see it in the cinema.

Eventually I had to start thinking about it as Anne Hathaway: The Movie, so I wouldn't fall asleep.

Dragon Wars. The plot was just plain ridiculous and it was boring. Hell I almost fell asleep a couple of times. My other choice would have to be Napoleon Dynamite. That movie bored the hell out of me and I thought it was stupid to boot.

I'm very tempted to say "Citizen Kane, 'nuff said", but I found the movie just so boring, despite having learned the history of the film and how it was a satire of a newspaper giant named "whatever his name was, I can't remember" and the whole sled thing was actually a sly reference to what "whatever his name was, I can't remember"'s habid of refering to his girlfriend's lady parts as "rosebud".

Like a good boyfriend I have to sit watching chick flicks, I mean I hate them but it makes the girlfriend du jour happy.

I normally go home and watch Black Hawk Down to make up for it, its a chick flick, BUT FOR DUDES!.
That sucks. I think you should definitely man up and tell her to go and watch them with her friends. Thats what I do.

Dull movies:

The Thin Red Line. Most pretentious war drama ever.
I was waiting for someone to mention a legitimately boring moving (Elcamino said The Hurt Locker FFS). The Thin Red Line was like a three hour long haiku series about doing laundry.

Blade Runner for me too. I've seen it twice and fell asleep during the second time.

The Incredible Hulk. The first one, not the recent remake/reboot/prequel/whatever. I actually fell asleep during this movie. I've never done that in my life. It was just that dull.

Starship troopers 2, that movie completely miss the point about the universe and the plot was awful.
The first was really good and the third was decent.
Mention of Starship Troopers *hi-five. Oh the irony... anyway, we can all hope for a faithful version right?

EDIT: The Soloist is a a good movie but boring.

The Soloist is a decent movie but so boring... It was painful to watch but at the same time interesting and 'good.'
I really liked that movie...

OT: End Of Evangelion... I know that it goes with the show which I just finished watching before hand but the plot was so transparent I just didn't care at that point...

So did I but it was boring. Just like 2001: A Space Odyssey.
