For me its not so much being born then, but just living there. Like if I could take the knowledge I've acquired in my 18 years of existance, and just live in the 50'sI would be ok. The 50's were awesome.

Meh. No streaming porn, no deal.

Nah seriously, I'm happy with all these modern niceties, thank you.

If I had to choose, Roman General sounds awesome.

You sir, have made my day.

OT: I think sometime in the 1700s around the golden age of piracy. I worked on a wooden ship and I loved it, great time.

I like piracy because (ehh kind of) women were accepted. I mean if anyone could prove themselves, then people were okay with them. I know most of piracy is romanticized but I think going back anytime with wooden ships. I'd fit in well.

But corsets aren't really that appealing to me.

If I had the choice I would have liked to have lived in Europe between the 1650 until 1900, solely because uniforms looked better as opposed to the blandness of subsequent military uniforms.

With my moral/philosophical/intellectual views, I probably would have fit in better in the year 2400.

Contrary to popular belief, living in previous centuries sucked ass.

I would suggest that you loved it because you worked on it. As opposed to being worked on it.

This centurie's fine. Besides, if I did move back I'd probably think I didn't belong there too.

I'd have done well in 16th-century Italy. Between the emerging science of accounting and finance and the cultural flourishing of the Renaissance, I could probably have made a real good account of myself in Venezia or Firenze...maybe even become pope.

I agree. I think older centuries were all torture revolution and poverty. Not really a nice place to be.
