So I just beat Metal Gear Solid Revengance and fun as the game was, I honestly don't know why I wasn't given the option to join up with the final boss. His speech before the final fight convinced me that he's in the right.
Basically, he wants to destroy the military-industrial complex and end war as a business

Other bosses I really didn't want to fight are Sif, the Great Grey Wolf from Dark Souls who you rescued in the DLC and he clearly recognizes you (and pathetically struggles to defend his former masters grave from you--limping and falling over before you finish him off), Solidus Snake from MGS2 (trying to free America from a big group of conspirators), and the Collosai from Shadow of the Colossus who are just minding their own business until,a complete asshole, decides to listen to a clearly evil voice and slaughter them all..

What about you guys?

Larxene from Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories.
She will break all of your cards and combos and it's really really annoying. I always dread when I have to fight her. Another one is Yiazimat, and for those who don't know who that is, it's the strongest Super Boss in any Final Fantasy game released, bastard has 50 million HP and in the non-international FF XII you can only deal 9999 damage max. They did make it a bit easier though in that this is the only boss that you can leave the arena, save, restock on items and buffs, and then go back to fight and he'll retain the health that you left him with. So at least Square Enix aren't total jerks. >.>

Sound to me like that's not a boss, but rather a project. Just go whittle it down a bit, take a break, head back to it, take another break, etc. :p

OT: I'm guessing the theme of this topic is more based around Bosses You Actually Agree With rather than Bosses You Think Are Frustrating/Hard/Etc. As such, I'll go with Seymour from FFX...seriously, that game was so bad that I wanted everyone on Spira to die. :p

Well you don't have to go ad try to restock up on stuff if you don't want to, but it'll be a pain in the ass if you don't. The fastest speedrun I've seen of the battle was about 1 hour or so, but on average it's about a 2 hour battle if you're prepared correctly. Then again, this is a Super Boss and is completely optional like how other Super Bosses in Final Fantasy are. (For others see Penance from FF X International, Emerald and Ruby Weapon from VII, Omega Weapon from VIII, etc)

Kreia in Kotor 2, just because she was right. I was actually disappointed that there wasn't a non-canonical ending where you agree with her and murder yourself in the Trayus Core. Too bad they rushed the ending and turned Kreia into a stupid child in the last 2 minutes with all the reason in her gone.

What about Dark Riku final form? Yeah, that fight can suck and die. And I remember fighting Yiazimat. That fight wasn't a fight, that was a chore. It literally took me a week to beat him because, as you said, I would fight him for a bit, get bored, save my game and resume later. That's not fun. The fights against Omega Weapon in VIII, or the Weapons in VII, or Ozma (?) in IX...those were fun. They were based on skill, not outlasting your enemy.

The only bosses I've ever fought that I didn't want to put in the ground were the Four Beauties from MGS 4. And when I found out you didn't have to actually kill them, I was thrilled. Was rather disappointed that I didn't get a bonus scene at the end with all of them living happily or something, but still. Otherwise, I can't think of a boss that I didn't want to fight for emotional reasons. Hard reasons, yes.

That fight is extremely easy. Just don't attack with magic because he automatically dodges and counters with Dark Firaga, and then have Aero casted on yourself. It's really easy, and in both times I've LPed Final Mix, the PS2 version then the HD version, I beat Dark Riku my first time on Final Mix Proud. He's really easy and takes no real time, no Maleficent is more annoying, but the worst boss in Kingdom Hearts 1 and the Final Mix is Sephiroth. And Yiazmat was a chore, but I found that the Ruby and Emerald Weapons were chores as well, as I was way damn over leveled I guess and just had to last and it didn't take long before both of them went down.

Now Ozma, screw that boss and throw it into the pits of Tartarus. I probably should've use the Hell Wyrm and Omega MK XII instead, as those two can be difficult, especially the Hell Wyrm.

The Bloat from Binding of Isaac. He shoots you with blood streams and throws his eyes at you. Just generally very icky.
Though on a second thought i actually don't want to fight ANY BoI boss, except for maybe Isaac himself, because i don't think tears of a child hurt really much :D

Not really sure this could be considered a boss but the arena grand champion in Oblivion, The gray prince. I really didn't want to kill him.

He didn't fight back he just stood there and let you kill him after finding out he was half vampire.

I felt really bad for killing him, it made my victory and everything I had achieved in the arena feel really hollow and pointless.

If you don't do that quest then he'll actually fight back against you. The other thing is that if you kill him when he doesn't fight back it actually counts as murder, except you don't get a bounty unless the game glitches. However, you will be visited by the Dark Brotherhood if you've not done the quest line to join it yet.

Definitely Dagoth Ur from Morrowind.
He is a villian upon a first glance, but if you delve deep enough into the lore you realize that he is but a tragic victim of powers that be.
In fact, you almost get to reconcile with him, but not quite.
How hard I struggled to find a way to join the House Dagoth... Alas, it is impossible.

There was General Nazgrim in WoW; he was your friend, since ALL THE WAY back in Northrend. You fought alongside him in the depths of Vashj'ir, and when you made landfall in Pandaria. It broke my heart to see him listed as a boss in Siege of Orgrimmar, duty-bound to defend the city. He knew I'd rather not fight him, that I'd rather he live at the end of this day, and he acknowledged that what we did, we did for the Horde, "...both of us."

Also in WoW was Lilian Voss. For new Undead players, after the Cataclysm, you meet a frightened young girl, freshly resurrected. She is terrified to discover her newly undead nature, after being raised and trained to hate all forms of undeath by the Scarlet Crusade. When she surrenders to the Crusade in hopes of being cured, only to be sentenced to death by her own father, an unexpected viciousness emerges. She slaughters countless Scarlets, her father included, and seeks to bring a swift end to the remaining Scourge. For those who learned her story from the start and entered the Scholomance dungeon, freshly revamped in Pandaria, she becomes a boss, controlled by a cruel Necromancer. You're forced to fight and fatally wound her; she has a simple request afterwards. "Leave me... to die... alone... please..." You almost want to stay with her, to offer her the first bit of comfort she's known since her dark rebirth.

The ones from Demons' Souls.

You know EXACTLY which two I'm referring to...
I remember Maiden Astraea...

"This is our home"
"We have done no harm to you"
"Dear God, have mercy"
"Is not your abandonment of us punishment enough?"

The setting doesn't help matters when you realized the monsters you were fighting were the poorest the poor and the most unloved in all the realm who finally found a place of peace, squalored as it was. That is until you killed the two people trying to help them.

Paarthurnax (Skyrim)- while optional, I don't see how anyone would have the heart to kill him

Jyggalag/Sheogorath (Oblivion, Shivering Isles expansion)- as happy as I was afterwards to succeed the Prince of Madness, I felt kind of bad fighting Jyggalag

Robo-Ridley (Metroid Zero Mission)- Even though it's the final boss and actually really dangerous I think it's super cute (he's so derpy!) and I feel bad fighting it

All of the other Bounty Hunters in Metroid Prime Corruption- feeeelingggsss (except you, Gandrayda)

Both endings in Infamous 2 make perfect sense, so either ending has you killing a friend. But nothing has ever been as heartbreaking as when you have to kill Zeke in the evil ending - I love that bastard.
I did as well. I'm glad that they are keeping the good ending from Infamous 2 as being canon, so Zeke is still alive, but Cole is dead.
