I´ve been ninja´d on Robert Jordan, Douglas Adams and Tolkien, so i´ll say...

Michael Crichton. The man wasnt the world´s most amazing writer, but he did have fun ideas like Jurassic Park and Timeline that were pretty darn entertaining to read!

Isaac Asimov, because even if he only came back for a few years, I know he'd manage to put out about ten great stories in that time.
