Firstly no, looking like another game doesn't mean it will play like one.
However, if you've been following the game at all, we pretty much DO know exactly how it plays and lo and behold, it's mirrors edge and MW2.

Secondly, yeah you're right that's not what rustic means. Though the trashy part is still on the nose. And yes, looking almost identical to borderlands doesn't mean it will play like borderlands, but it means I'm already bored of the environment.

Yes, I've seen this game. In the trailer (i know the trailer isn't gameplay) someone dodges a ROCKET by doing a wall flip - the trailer treats this like it's DEAD. FUCKING. SERIOUS. As Rockets travel at around 295 meters per second this is already laughable.

And lastly, the OP just wanted me to give my opinions of my take on the game and what I thought of it, so I did so. There's no reason you need to get mad at me for simply stating how the game looks to me.
I really couldn't disagree more. I love what their doing with the maps. Even in the overpopulated, rundown side of the city there are brighter and more colourful enviroments than most modern FPS's. And the story looks amazing, bethesda are behind it, and they made their reputation on their deep and compelling tales.

Also, the bit with the rocket was hilarious, in no way at all does the game treat itself seriously. It's stylised look is testment to that.

As you can probaly tell from the avatar, I'm going to be checking this game out.

If it's affordable (yeah right, this is Australia, what the fuck am I thinking?), then I shall plan on geting this.

Looks quite fun, and slightly perplexing.

Reminds me of a video game version of a crossover between District 13 (NOT RELATED TO DISTRICT 9 IN ANY WAY!!!!!) and any other shooting-based movie.

What do you think about BRINK, the game which is attempting to combine Mirror's Edge with a first person shooter game?
You do realize that Mirror's Edge had quite a bit of shooting in it already, right?

Anyways it looks alright so far I guess, haven't seen very much on it yet so I'll reserve my judgment.

I know bethesda's publishing it, but I thought that they were taking quite a hands on approach? Several articles I've read have called it a collaboration between the two companies, I may be wrong though.

Personally I think it looks quite good. It doesn't appear to take itself too seriously, the world looks interesting (and colourful, for a change). It has the capacity to be great or to be shite, I don't think it's possible to tell yet.
