Its not like this game is any good anyway it got a 6 on IGN, so if your looking for a good FPS that doesn't ignore the existence of females I'd recommend Halo Reach.
"Id love to play anyone on the escapist so pm if you'd like"
mind you I'm not that good XD
Reach? Seriously? How, besides your emblem, are females represented? Most FPS just leave sex alone in the multiplayer spectrum, it has been an issue for some time.
I use IGN for when I want a video review, but The Escapist is of far higher calibre; I am surprised to find someone who believes IGN's ratings here.
good heavens are you even a gamer please Google "Halo Reach Female" and maybe if your not to proud you will learn that you can pick your gender in Halo Reach and it does make you look as feminine as a girl wearing armor can look.
IGN isn't bad how stupid, sure its not the best but I read the article, witch seems very level headed, and form what I could see the game lacks the depth to hold your attention and lets face it if the game has no replay value its not worth buying
I don't feel that adding curves to a faceless automaton adds anymore than a semblance of "female" to a character, but since we cannot have helmet-less Spartans my feelings are moot on this point anyway. I will say that the inclusion of a female option to select was probably to appease the masses, not out of any desire to create equality or even choice in a multiplayer setting.
Secondly I still hold that IGN, while it can be level headed, is not an extremely reliable place for gather game information. A large amount of user comments on various articles show that even IGN's followers/fan base feels similarly (or at least has issues with their journalism).
Finally I'd like to point out that, being a multiplayer focused game, it is very hard to lack replay value. If generic games of both past and present have taught us anything it is that people are strangely attracted to achievements and leveling, something that Brink has in abundance. Being so focused I also find it strange that IGN has a review up, as the game has not been out long enough for a full evaluation of its "flavor" if you will. I would have been more appeased if they added the comment about seeing how the community formed around the online play as they did in the video review of Crysis 2, sadly they did not.
