Friends first, or romantic interests first?
The degree with which you like your romantic interest is up to you. If you are madly in love with them, would you ditch your friends for them? What if your friends had gotten tickets to that concert you had been DYING to go see, but it is your partner's birthday? Feel free to add your own past experiances/ original situations.

Discuss.
Your choices are your choices, there is no right or wrong. They are your relationships and which one you choose first is entirely up to you. However, the whole "Bros before Hoes" thing is usually only followed by the ones who don't have a "hoe" and are the ones not getting any.... funny isn't it.

As for myself, I usually try to keep it equal. When I have been in a relationship I have always gone and had my dude time, and if my buddies wanted me to come out sometimes I stayed with the lady. It's all about balance really.

Seems like a false dilemma as adding a romantic interest does not mean friends suffer. Heck I think my friends think my girlfriend is cooler than me...I tend to agree with them so its fine.

If you're dating someone and you honestly consider ditching them on their birthday, no matter how much you want to see that concert or whatever, that relationship is unlikely to last very long. If I like a girl enough to actually date her, she tends to come first as long as it doesn't derail prior plans with friends or completely cut me off from them. My friends will always be there for me. Relationships require more work.
nice Im pretty much the same as this. If my friends and I have made plans on a certain day I wont ditch them just cause my girlfriend called up asking me to come over. But lets say there is no plans and she calls up or whatever I'm there in a heartbeat, and wont leave unless a friends has an emergency or something.
But to add on the birthday thing that would be a dick move.. really.

A romantic interest who cares about you will want you to spend time with your friends, and will not make you choose between them and him/her.

Likewise, real friends who really care about you will want you to spend time with romantic interests. Friends who pull the "bros before hoes" emotional manipulation are not real friends.
